Hey Guys..

I have my Panny Blu-ray running into the Sammy HL61A750 via HDMI and occasionally the picture will have very tiny red pixels (dots) overlaying the image. There are tons of them and it's like red static.

Anyone ever seen this? Could it be a bad HDMI cable or a bad port on the TV? Or, worst case, is it the Blu-ray player outputting this?

Thanks!

It could be any of the things you mention. You'll have to change the HDMI cable first and see if it's better, second, try a different HDMI input on the tv, then try another blu ray player and check and if none of the things fixes the pic, it could be the HDMI board in the tv.

McKinneyMagnum - You don't by any chance have an Onkyo TX-SR706 receiver do you? If so, that is the problem. That model is well known to not pass HDMI "through" correctly - as dots on the screen have been reported. If you do not have that model, I still would guess it's an HDMI-passing issue with the receiver based on all reports I've heard of the dot issue.
