I've recently upgraded to HDTV, using the above components with HDMI connections. I have however noticed some Lip Synch problems, and am now pretty disappointed to learn that all this new technology has brought with it this issue. Based on similar posts, it seems that the problems can occur in any of a variety of components in your system.
I seem to mostly notice it on HD NBC channels during Law & Order, and it happened tonight on a DVR-recorded show of L&O with sound running just through the TV set speakers, so I don't think it's an issue with my Onkyo receiver.
I watch DVD's with sound routed through my Onkyo Receiver (optical cable running from TV to AV receiver) and haven't noticed it there, and it doesn't seem to be happening right now on Live TV on another station, but I'm going to start watching for this more closely to pinpoint the cause...
In the meantime, is there a simple solution -- especially since it doesn't seem to be happening on all channels/shows?
