I have just mounted my speakers to the walls. How do you have your speakers wired to the wall plates? Pictures would be great.

(Sorry no pictures available right now.) devilbones 10-27-09, 11:11 AM Is the bracket hidden too? It appears that the speaker is 'floating' on the wall right? devilbones 10-27-09, 11:12 AM Oh and do you have plugs into the wall plate or just the bare wire? RTROSE 10-27-09, 12:18 PM I got lucky with my wall mounted speakers. Here is a photo. http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb215/RTROSE_album/DSC03440.jpg What is behind the speaker is a plastic electrical box. The mount for the speaker matched up perfectly with the screws for the electrical box. I then drilled holes in the mount and the speaker back plate and ran the wires through the holes. Very nice and clean looking IMHO. Hope this helps. Regards, RTROSE HT1 10-27-09, 03:29 PM This cover hooks to a regular electrical box. Then I use a short peice of speaker wire to connect the speaker to the wall plate. The photo shows a banana clip but I ended up not using them cause I wanted the speaker to set flush against the wall. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l138/crossroads_04/2-28-08-Paint009.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l138/crossroads_04/2-25-09013.jpg djearl81 10-27-09, 03:50 PM My brackets aren't hidden, they are similiar to the picture posted by RTROSE. However, I didn't mount to the electrical box. I used toggle bolts to hold the small speakers to the wall. If you truly want the hidden speaker look, you'll have to go with inwalls. HT1 - That's a nice looking room you've got. |
