I'm hoping someone can help me with this question. I currently own a nintendo Wii and have just purchased the component cable. I also just purchased the Yamaha RX-V765. The television i have is the 55" Samsung LED LCD. From what I've been told, these are the options for connecting my Wii to minimize game lag. I'd like to know if I forgot anything and which connection would be best.
1) Bypass the reciever, connect the Wii to the TV and find a "game mode" on the TV (i would prefer not to do this b/c I'm trying to run everything into the rec)
2) Run the Wii into the rec. The rec will upconvert for the TV (and quicker) so when it gets to the tv the lag will be minimal (haven't tested yet)
3) Run the Wii into the rec and use HDMI pass through. Set the TV to game mode. (my quesiton is if i use pass through will the audio pass through as well)
Any and all advice is welcome. Thanks
