I am seeing red blotches on all shadows on my Samsung DLP HL-S7174W. I really am seeing it now that I changed the bulb out with a new one.
I thought it was due to crappy video quality of my .avi videos and low bitrate on HD cable. But now I'm seeing it on my blu ray movies, especially the large amount of black on Battlestar Gallactica Blu ray.
I've run the AVIA calibration stuff, and it only made the blotches worse when I adjusted everything to those test patterns. (also, the "blacker than black" bars will not show on the black level test pattern on my TV...could this be related?)
So is there a possible problem with the video processing of my TV, or is this something a calibration technician who can access factory menus can fix?
