I was so looking forward to the DTV conversion, hoping that the extra juice would now flow into the digital domain.
HOWEVER, since the switches were flipped the following has occurred:
- ABC (13) HD has disappeared
- CBS (11) HD has disappeared
- KUHT (8) HD has disappeared
- FOX (26) HD has no guide data
I have a dual tuner HTPC which worked fined until the switch. It has 2 tuners in it, both are different makes/models and both appear to be operating fine. I have a rooftop antenna (Antennas direct DB4) chimney mounted and turned directly towards the farm. I do use the amplifier (~50 ft of coax in the run) and I do split it, but the problems only started right after the switch. Of most peculiar interest is the loss of the FOX26 guide data.
This is not only me (77449 zip code) , but a buddy who's another 5 to 10 miles closer to the antenna farm in souther Houston/Sugarland also has lost these signals. He's tried several antennas with no luck.
What am I missing here? I've scanned 100's of posts here and I don't see any link to the issues myself and others in this area are experiencing. Has anyone else in the west Houston area have the same issues or have you figured it all out?
Help! I need my good OTA HD!
