OK, kidding aside, how much construction are you willing to do on your home?

Is this your house? Do you confine the loud noise making to one room?

Trap the noice and trap the fun.

Insulation and more drywall will cut down the sound. You've gotta redirect/absorb the sound waves.

Search on the topic of window plugs on the dedicated theater building forum. Keep the doors and windows closed. Add an additional layer of drywall with Green glue to all the walls and ceiling.

This post contains no help...

When I was a teen I worked at a woodshop that made subs for movie theatres, my boss liked to call Cerwin Vegas' , "Certain Vagueness" cause you never knew what kind of crap you were getting.

You are correct your post provides ZERO help.;)

But, then again neither does this one.

All kidding aside though. If you are getting riled up neighbors there are a couple of things you can do to be a better neighbor.

One is obviously to ratchet it back a couple of notches so that it is not so loud. Another is a tactic our neighbors use when they are going to have a blow out. They invite us (or basically the neighbors that would be offended by the noise) so we can join the fun too. As Big and Hanesian stated you can look at some sound mitigating options to keep the sound in. You need first to decide what you are willing or able to do, how much money you want to spend and go from there.

I hope this helps....a little anyway.
