The LED screen is off and none of the onboard controls work.

I can turn it on and off and operate it normally using the remote but when I turn it off the lights on the machine stay on.

I can use the set up menu.

Can I fix this? Thank you for considering my problem.

The front panel needs to be replaced. Likely nothing that you can do to get the player working properly without a hardware swap.

Try removing the power cable and pressing and hold the POWER button on the front panel for 5 seconds. Release.

Reconnect the power cable. Is the POWER LED red?

Press POWER on the front panel. Does the unit turn ON and is the VFD still off?

Good to note that this should be covered under Oppo's standard "out of warranty" service. For a flat fee they will fix it. Don't hesitate to call them.
