Hi all,

I've been trying to find a universal remote control with the main functionality of being an MCE with a screen. ( i want to play my music without needing to turn on my TV )
I have a win7 running 24/7 with windows media center on it.
so i need to be able to view the music on the remote and play them.

I've looked everywhere about a solution.
I started with gyration air music ( COULDN'T find any video with the lcd turned on ). I liked it alot but i really disliked the form factor.
Then i looked aroud to find the Pronoto, and then to the mx 6000 and found my self looking at a 1500$ remote control.

I dont think i need all this, all i need is a universal remote control to control my tv, hd cable box, my htpc, and ( soon ) my avr, and with the lcd to control my media center.

All your suggestions are welcomed.

There have been a few but I think the demand was so low that they were discontinued. This looks like it might work for your application. If not, I would think there has to be an itouch app that would work.

I don't know what your budget is, but we recommend and program URC MX-5000's for this type of request. Combined with autonomic software you can control itunes or WMC. If you add a PSX-2 ipod dock it serves as a server and offers excellent 2-way control It can control your music with or without you video devices on. It's also an excellent remote to use with the rest of your house. Yes, it is expensive, but will work to your satisfaction and allow you to expand on it and can be had for under 1K.
