I am trying to find the best way to put up wall plates for my house. I want to do so without putting a gigantic hole in the wall. Here are the plugs I need:
Kitchen: 2 speakers (2 posts per speaker) = 4 posts
Outside Patio: 2 speakers = 4 posts
PC in Office over RCA = 2 posts
Surround speakers are in ceiling in Den: 2 speakers = 4 posts
Subwoofer cable in ceiling: 1 post
Cat5 for PC and Receiver: 2 posts
Speaker Selector switch (http://www.costcentral.com/proddetail/Cables_To_Go_Impact_Acoustics_In_Wall_A_B_Speaker_Selector_S witch/37085/10522530/): 1 gang plate
This will eliminate 4 of the posts needed for Patio
So, I need space for 13 keystones and a speaker switch...
I have keystones for many of the speakers already and for the RCAs and Cat5.
So far cramming everything this box (http://electrical.hardwarestore.com/14-45-electrical-boxes-plastic/white-non-metallic-2-gang-box--659882.aspx) is my best idea.
Does anyone know how I might minimize the size of the hole in the wall? I would like to avoid a giant 4 gang box on/cut into the wall...
Thanks in advance!
John
