Heh everyone. I just wanted to post about my recent purchase from Ken at Stargate Cinema.

I have been researching popcorn machines for quite some time now and had been leaning towards getting a Gold Medal 4 oz funpop machine and cart. Problem is I live in Canada and finding such a thing was a bit of a challenge.

I found two places, one in Edmonton and one in Calgary that carried the machine and cart. My price would have been right around $1000 dollars for the 4oz popper and cart, including taxes but not including shipping.

So I did some googling and came across stargate cinema and read nothing but great things about a fellow named Ken.

Anyways, long story short, I am now the proud owner of an 8oz Paragon Contempo with matching cart. I also purchased a case of Country Harvest ready mix packs and a stainless steel scoop. The good news, after converting everything into our Canadian Dollar, including Shipping, taxes and the brokerage fees, my grand total was only about $100 dollars more then what it would have cost me to buy the Gold Medal locally. Keep in mind I got twice the size of a popper too... the 8oz!!

Everything was as smooth as silk on the transaction end of things. Ken was lightning fast on the email responses, the shipping took about 7 business days and it arrived in perfect condition with no dents, scratches or anything broken.

I set the item up two nights ago and am still grinning from ear to ear every time I walk by it!

Anyways, I just wanted to give a shout out to Ken and Stargate cinema for the awesome deal, and excellent transaction all around. If there are any other Canucks out there looking for a popcorn machine, talk to Ken, you cant go wrong.
