Hello,

i think my question is simple, but it didn't find an answer per search:

My config: Mac Mini Early 2009 per mini DVI --> DVI --> DVI-HDMI-Adapter --> HDMI Cable to Yamaha 3900 Receiver --> per HDMI to Pioneer Plasma (per SwitchresX 1080/50p).

The output works sometimes, sometines not. This means, no Picture (only sound separate). I read something about DVI Doctor. Is this the answer? Or shut I go with mini Display-Port --> HDMI-Adapter? Does this adapter has the same problems?

I think this problem come with suspend modus / hypernation ("Ruhezustand" in german).

Please help me.

Thanx.

Greetings from Germany.

Thomas

I have a very similar configuration. Looks like a HDMI handshake issue. The Yamaha 3900 should be powered on first, then the Pioneer Plasma, then the Mac Mini. Check if you still have the issue that way.
Note that putting to sleep the Mac is NOT equivalent to powering it off.
You may also have an other issue with EDID reverse presentation if you switch inputs on the Yamaha 3900 while everything is already powered on. That issue can be curred using Gefen HDMI Detective Plus.
