Ok, have had this RCA Scenium D61W130 for 7 years now. For the last week, at least once a day while it is on, it will power off. It will then try to turn back on, the power button will flash once, and then power off. It will try this 3 times, and then stop.

I then cannot power it back on unless I unplug it for about 15 minutes. After I do this, it will power on fine, and work for at least a few hours, until this whole thing starts again.

I am sure I am long overdue for replacing the bulb. But doesn't this have to be something else? I figured if it was the bulb, the TV would never work.

Any other ideas? This TV has been awesome for 7 years with no problems whatsoever. Am I gonna need to start looking at a new TV?

Your Tv does not use a "bulb". Needs to be diagnosed by tech. Total repair could be $300-$500+, so...
