Hello everyone. I hope all of you are doing well.

Ok, my Samsung HCN4226W looks pretty good except for the left side of the screen. Since I use it basically as a huge computer monitor (for an HTPC so I do watch movies as well) the left side issue is very easy to spot.

I can't seem to fix it in the service menu or the grid. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

Also, here's a shot of the entire grid. It needs a little tweaking, I know. :D

Thanks in advance!!!

Well, it sounds like you know where the controls are...
If it was me I'd fix whatever geometry adjustments are needed before trying to dial in the convergence. Otherwise you'll find yourself dialing in the convergence all over again.
Some sets have a row/column of adjustment points off screen for fixing errors like seen in your top left. If you move the adjustment cursor to the left a few times do you eventually come to a point where you can't see the cursor, but can make adjustments? You may not have that on your set...
In which case, what you've got is just about as good as you'll be able to get it with adjustments alone... you can see if there's a compromise to be had where you get half the error on either side of the screen... that usually works well for certain geomtery problems, not so sure about convergence...
Lastly, there's a thread dedicated to RP systems, some of those guy smay be able to tell you if it's likely you have a fading component worth changing...

Thanks for the reply, Glaufman! I hope I don't have a fading component! The Convergence ICs (yes there are two in this set) are new as well as the CRT coolant. i also cleaned the optics, mirror, and screen really well while I had it apart.

I can live with it, but it's kind of annoying when trying to see something on the upper left and lower left of the screen. When playing movies, this is not an issue at all as all of the movies I have are in widescreen which puts black bars at the top and bottom.

I'd have to say I doubt the fading component idea. If you move the cursor to adjust the left-most convergence point, and then try to move it one more to the left, what happens?
