Any of you finish their garage?
I have a two car garage that I intend to finish starting in two weeks and be done by January 1st.
How are you all heating/cooling your garage?
Any pitfalls to avoid?
looking for pics and help, Ive already done a search and im looking for more information

Are you building a garage or a finished media room space in an existing garage?
If it is the later I assume you have viewed the grand daddy of all garage builds, The Sandmans theater build.

I am located 30 minutes north of philadelphia. The garage is already drywalled. I need to dinish the floor and add electrical outlets and a bar. I have trouble deciding what to do as far as a bar goes. Not sure if I want a wlak up bar or full blown walk behind. Ive loked at all the pros and cons and im leaning towards a walk up becasue it seems more practical and i figure how many times am i actually gonna sit behind hte bar and serve drinks.
the room will be mainly used for poker/pool/movies/and general guy ********

OK, for HVAC you may want to consider a Mitsubishi mini split AC/Heat pump system for the garage if they have enough heating capacity.
You should also check to see if your main house system has the capacity to service the garage and maybe another zone could be installed.

Ive thought on this one for a while. I am going with a window unit for ac in the summer. My neighbor has a btu heater that heats his garage in 5 minutes. Was pretty impressive, temperature went from 50 degrees to 70 in like 10 minutes. Ill go that route.
The one question i have is with the Tvs and other electronics that Id like to put in there. Will they be OK as far as the cold is concerned????? I had planned on putting four plasmas (one on each wall). Im a little apprehensive to put them in there then have it get too cold nad ruin them. What ya think?
