I am possibly relocating to Northern Europe and am just trying to get all my ducks in a row as they say in case it does happen.

I'm curious will my Samsung HLT6187SAX 61-inch DLP work there? I've been there several times in the past visiting, business, etc. and know that they use a different power voltage for their outlets -- I believe 240v -- for which I have the adapter for and have used while there for my mobile phone charger, laptop, etc.

But would I be able to do something similar for the TV and have it still function normally without ruining it or starting an electric fire or am I best off getting rid of the TV before I move?

The shipping isn't an issue for me as my company would be paying to move all of my items, but don't want to move the TV there if it's not going to function. Thank you for any feedback.

I think a bigger problem is that you will not be able to watch any broadcasts there as your set will not work with PAL.

The methods of transmitting both analog and digital television signals in Europe are different from the USA. You will probably want to buy a new TV when you get to Europe.
