Ok I've tried plugging in multiple devices via HDMI to this tv and nothing has worked. I've tried my PS3, AQUOS blu-ray player, and now our new dish network HD cable reciever box. all 3 just show a blue screen. i plug in any of them and it comes up to name the input. i set a name then nothing. just the blue screen. i've tried all 3 devices with the exact same result. i've tried plugging into all 3 HDMI ports with the same result. i've tried the cable on my samsung tv to the playstation and it works fine. as near as i can figure that eliminates the cable and the devices from the problem leaving the tv. i've reset the resoloution on all 3 devices so the HDMI should work fine. Im lost as to what else to do. I reset the tv to factory settings and that did nothing. in the inputs menu it shows an hdmi connection is there but it will not display nor play sound from any of my devices. any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try resetting the TV using the power button? If not, while the TV is on, press and hold the power button, on the front of the TV, for 8-10 seconds, until the TV turns off. Then immediately press it again to turn the TV back on.

I had an HDPC problem with my 82837 and this was the only way to be able to watch an HDPC input. Unfortunately, after a while this fix only worked for a day or so. So I had to do the reset every time that I wanted to watch a Blu-ray disc. PC Richard ended up replacing the main board in the TV last weekend.

as in call Mitsubishi? Not sure that would work going by some of the posts i've read about thier support. seems they know less about thier own tv's than the people who bought em do. I purchased it thru aarons rent to own so they won't fix it. or if they do they will send it off and give some crappy replacement. they did this last time we had a tv fixed. a 53" we were buying had to go get fixed so they gave us a 32" CRT with a craptastic picture. Why im hoping someone here will have some ideas.

Dude, it's your tv.

If you've tried everything and you still get the blue screen, then it's time to either get it repaired or replaced. If the original store won't step up, then you have no other option but to call Mits.

Or you can keep your impressive blue piece of modern art/massive paperweight.....

In your place, I would already have called Mits. Plus my EW holder. AVS people are good, but we're not the people who did build the TV.

Just my 2p....

well i guess ill call mitsubishi and see what they say. was hoping it would be some setting i've missed or some such. would a hardware problem cause all 3 hdmi ports to be out?

Are you sure you are sending a resolution over HDMI that your TV users manual says it will accept over HDMI such as 720p or 1080i. Many HDTVs have HDMI receiver chips that will not accept any non ATSC resolutions such as PC monitor resolutions like 1366x768

i wouldn't know how to change the resoloution to start with. i would assume a blu-ray player, playstation3, and hdtv cable box would all only do resoloutions a tv would accept.

Maybe if you still have the user's manuals for each you could lean how to set the uinits output resolutions if you spent the time to read them. If you no longer have the manuals you can get them over the Internet from the manufactur's websites.
