Hi. Anyone can tell me what might be the problem in these videos?

First one is with the DNIe fix/hack.
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/or35Cq6zdMM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/or35Cq6zdMM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Second one is with the DNIe fix/hack after a five minute power reset.
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JgmqX-hyzwI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JgmqX-hyzwI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

It seems that it might be the DMD board but how about the ballast?

I have the exact same model. Mine did that also. I got Samsung to extend my warranty. The 2nd authorized tech that came to my house because the 1st tech put the wrong analog and digital boards in my TV, told me that this is caused by a glitch in the software that controls the memory for the TV. The software causes a buffer overflow in memory and the TV does not know what to do with the data stream. The TV is dumb and has no brain, so it tries to reboot the system to get rid of the error. Mine did the same thing, except my screen had little 1x1 green squares all over the place. Half of the squares were striped and the other half were solid. The 2nd authorized tech told me that all of the early boards that were sold with those TV’s have that glitch in the software. Samsung has since fixed the software glitch in the new replacement boards. If you can get Samsung to replace the analog and digital boards for you, the problem should go away. I am getting my TV fixed on Tuesday after work, which makes me happy.

Thanks for the info.

I was on the phone with Samsung today and as usual ' we never heard of anything like that before '.

I was going to order the DMD board today, but it sounds like I need to get the analog also.

Now, I'm just considering if I should do it.

BTW, how do I check if the ballast is working correctly?

You should be able to see the light from the back panel. The panel has slits, so you should be able to look inside and see the light. If the light works, the problem is not your light or ballast. Samsung also told me to jump off a bridge with my TV. Here is some advice, call your state Attorney Generals Office. Within that office, there should be a department called Consumer Protection Division. Call them and file a complaint through them. You might want to take pictures of your TV, so you can submit this as evidence. This is a free service through your state govt. If they cannot get a resolution, they will give you some resources to call for help. For me, this would not be such a big deal, but I spent $1,900 for my TV back in 2005. My TV should have lasted more than 4 years.

I agree.

Will do first thing tomorrow.

I just tried some different methods of implementing the DNIe fix/hack but no resolve. Same thing, now the sound is off or making a humming noise.

It is the DMD board and now I'm just hoping that it's the digital and not the analog.

Thanks for the help.

Got my TV up and running.. It was the DMD board, however not sure about the analog one.
What I did was I swapped out the HLR50XX boards with the HLR42XX and it works fine.:D
