I'm in the market for a new HDTV. Strongly considering a Panasonic 54v10 plasma. It's November now, and I've heard prices go down for some reason starting in mid-November. I guess that's usually because new products get introduced then, and in order to remain competitive, they lower prices on existing products.

Thing is, I don't think there are any new Panasonic models coming out until next year, right? Is there any reason to expect prices to fall for the v10's in mid-November or December?

And how far away are we from seeing the next gen Panasonics? I've heard they'll have better power usage specs, and that's somewhat important to me. Maybe also better color controls?

I think even if you order now you might have to wait for a while. 3D is the buzzword for 2010 models which you don't really have to care about. But This year Panasonic models were huge hits. So you won't regret buying it. Especially The New King of HDTVS (http://hdguru.com/the-new-king-of-hdtv-displays-panasonics-tc-p54v10-reviewed/458/comment-page-3/#comment-43416) is selling like hot cakes now.

Yep...I think you'll be waiting no matter what. I just tried to purchase a 54V10 from a large retailer in KC, but no luck. Very frustrating b/c I want this TV now, now now.
