Hello everyone,

After reading on this forum, I learned that a lot of people wouldn't let geek squad touch any electronic with a 10 ft pole.

I had mentioned this to my father in law about the GS reputation. He is having them re-mount his 60 Pioneer Kuro in his new home, since they are already there, he wants them to Calibrate the Plasma. His co-worker had GS calibrate his Panny 65 and had good results, with that feedback it gave him the motivation to go with them.

At the same time he wants me there to come over tomorrow and watch them since I know a little more than his does about Plasma's

I myself own a 42X1 and a 50PZ85U. I know the basics of Plasma's but do not know what to look for when a TV is getting calibrated.

Any questions or anything I should ask/look out for while GS is there to do there job?

Thank you in advance.

IF he has a 6020, have them calibrate Movie mode. If he has a 151/141, have them calibrate Pure mode. If GS insists on calibrating Standard mode instead of the modes I listed, tell them to get out.Hello everyone,

I'd tell them to get out regardless.

Thats great info to take with me tomorrow. May I also ask why those modes vs standard?

I do not know anything about calibration or what those modes will do with the calibration. I just would like to know what to say to GS if they were to calibrate in standard mode.

Thanks :)

Thanks :)The modes I listed are the best modes GS can calibrate (they don't have the capability of calibrating the ISFccc modes on the Elite/Signaure Elites).

Hi,
Why doesn't GS have the capability to use ISFccc modes?

Thanks
