I know no one wants to reply to every thread and regurgitate what is already contained in another dedicated thread but some people are new to message boards and really don't know all the search functions or the terms to use. I'm all for people finding the info that already exists but if they seem a little bewildered I can usually take the few seconds to provide the link at least.

Try this link and it should have a lot of information about the S1 series plasmas. The "XX" just represents whichever size the TV is.

Can someone give me the outer box dimensions? I just bought one of these from Sears and I'm too cheap to pay $65 for delivery. Also any thing to watch out for while transporting this baby? Thanks in advance!!

Just went and picked one of these up at our local Sears last evening. Don't have the exact package size, but a pretty good guess would be bezel height +5 inches. The base is not attached in package.

Gotcha is to transport upright, not laying flat, to avoid overstressing a large pane of glass, that is edge supported only. It just fit into our 10yo Sienna mini-van, with seats removed, with a couple inches to spare.

Panny did a nice number on the packaging, with plastic handle inserts, low and at all four corners. When you get home, and before you attack the box with a sharp knife, look carefully at those plastic handle inserts, and note they have a little snap tab on one edge. Unsnap, and remove the plastic handle from the packaging at all four corners. Now, the top half of the box slides neatly upward, and off of the base, revealing the prize within.

Enjoy.
