View Full Version : Considering stepping up from 50" S1 to 50" G10

I got a great deal on my 50" S1 and I can get a great deal on a 50" G10 now. So Im doing my research to decide if its worth the money. I paid 1000 for my S1 and I can get a G10 for 1300. From what I see, the feature upgrades in the G10 are THX display, Viera Cast, XV Color, 3D Color Control, Sup Pixel Control. Reviews on whether these things are a worthy step up are so mixed...I dont know what to do. The money difference is around $300 so id like to hear some advice. Thanks fellas

I think 50G10 is less than that.

Thanks man, but Id rather buy it locally so it comes with a return policy if I need it

I personally don't think the upgrade is worth it. If you didn't already have the S1, I would say go for the G10.

Yea upgrade may not be worth it. If you upgrade your size then it is good.

I already have to return the S1 for a pixel issue. While Im doing it I am just weighing my options. I can either stick with the S1 or go for the G10.

They will only price match local competitors...no online stores

Then it is definitely worth it for the same size.
