I'm back to this forum because I have decided to replace my old CRT (or as I call it heavy ass tube TV) in our guest bedroom. I look forward to doing research on this site and I actually really enjoy doing so!

Last night I learned that even though Broadcasts are not in 1080p I should 100% purchase 1080p. It also seems like I can not get a top of the line 32 inch which sucks because the TV will be wall mounted about 6 feet from our workout machine so I don't think I can go much bigger especially for a guest bedroom, I don't want it to look gaudy.

I will use this forum in my search for the perfect TV and will soak up the wisdom of all that contribute. The haters and naysayers in my world say I can live just fine with the 24 inch tube TV I currently have, while that may be true, I got money and want to spend it on a nice tv, is that so bad?

I figure on getting a blue ray DVD player for under $100 for my 42" panasonic plasma downstairs. I also figure on getting a few nice bottles of Kentucky Bourbon and some old shaolin movies to watch on it.

I look forward to reading all of your thoughts in between now and black friday. Someone was saying that was not the best day to get a TV anymore, but it sure worked for me 3 years ago when I got my plasma!
