I think I'm in the right section.
I currently have a HTPC running Vista X64 ultimate and I'm sick to death of it. It works right, then it doesn't and vice versa. I tried Win7 and then I just lost interest. I just want something that is not complicated for the family to use and works as it should.
I just saw LG have a PVR with twin tuners, 250gb or 500gb built in hdd and a 3.5'' bay where you can fit another drive(only up to 1tb unfortunately) and it will play just about every format known. Well, Mkv's is what I have.
It sound perfect, but I first want to know if anyone has one and their thoughts on it. Or if you don't have one, your thoughts on it too.

Do you live in Australia? If so, that's an option. It has a DVB-T tuner so it won't work in the United States or Canada.

If you live in the U.S, your "twin tuner" options are limited to the products linked in my signature.

Yeah, I live in Australia. Even if there is other brands that have the same things as this one has, I would look at them too. A lot of people hate LG products, well in Australia anyhow but all my t.v's, dvd player have been LG...Life's Good I suppose.:D

The current DVD and VHS/DVD recorders that LG sells in the US are pretty bad, though. Just check the "DVD Recorders" forum here sometime if you want to see.

Its got me wondering why this particular model, and the next model up will only utilize hdd's up to 1tb. Which is a shame as I have a 1.5tb drive I wanted to use.
