I am trying to track down some iq8s? Anyone know where they can be purchased new?

I have iq9s up front, iq6 as center, and iq1s are sides for now. I want to bump the iq1s to the rear and use some dipoles for the sides. I hope to track down a pair of iq8s so they all match,

If i can't find iq8s what other options would I have for best timbre match?

Thanks

They are listing both open-box and new, but you better hurry.

A pair of Emotiva ERD-1s. They are dipole bipole. You can use them either way.

Most likely as I do not want to spend any more than around 5-600 on a set of side surrounds. Not familiar with the cost but my guess is they are alot more than that :)

Those like nice, and with the option to use them as dipole/bipole seems very flexible.

I'm not too familiar with the difference between di/bipole besides bipole are in sync and dipole are not. I'm will do some more research in which would be better for my situation.

Any other options on side surrounds? Would I be able to purchase a better set besides the iq8s for around that price?

How would the axioms stack up?

Thanks for the reply,

much appreciated

I don't know about any of the other speakers, but from what I heard from the emotiva speakers we had in the shootout, theres 2 chances of me ever buying a speaker, slim to none.... They were just downright awful :(

Really? wow so we got 1 for the emotive and 1 against it lol

i'm guessing the kefs iq8s are going to be my best option for timbre match and sound compared to the rest of my system. i know matching surrounds isn't that important compared to the front soundstage but i figure it would be nice.

I heard the adp190s and they sounded pretty good to me, however this is in a listening room with who knows what treatments. the room the surround sound will probably be fairly narrow, 10' or under near the middle/back. I'm in the process planning to finish my basement so the exact room config is unknown.

Just to clarify my position, here is a post and you can find the rest of the thoughts from the other attendees about the GTG that had the Emotiva's in them.... http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=17458921#post17458921
Ultamately, that is a really good thread that one could read to gather thoughts of how people transition into a set of speakers that they want to expand their horizons with really good audio and speakers and how they stack up to the competition in terms of comparisons...
