Well here's the story I had a Infocus Screenplay 7210 and I loved it. I moved sometime back and it was damaged. I finally got the claim money for it and have a $1000 to spend on a new PJ. I live in a town house now and will not be mounting the Pj but only sitting it on the coffee table and projecting onto the wall for use with movies every now and then. Screen size will be less than 100". Ive been looking all through the forum and cant decide what to get ???? Doesnt have to be 1080p but I like a bright image but also like decent black levels.. Can anyone give any suggestions ??? I don't mind buying a older model PJ from ebay if I can find a decent one. Please share some thoughts

Well I'll toss the Optoma HD65 out there. Maybe even the HD20 from the reviews.
I also use my unit on a table top, no mounting since I stay in a loft apartment.
Tonight I experimented with a 119" image on a bare red brick wall. I'm still waiting on my new screen to arrive. Figured I'd get a head start with placement.

The HD65 performed extremely well under these conditions. The image even on the red brick wall came through watchable..I wasn't expecting it to be. For such a small PJ..this thing can beam! Black levels are quite good as well.
