We need to start this thread to keep all the info here rather than searching around. I have a Panny 4000 being delivered tomorrow and can't wait to report on it. Hopefull others will let us know about their units.

View Full Version : Official Panasonic PT-AE4000 Thread AustinRI 11-09-09, 06:29 PM We need to start this thread to keep all the info here rather than searching around. I have a Panny 4000 being delivered tomorrow and can't wait to report on it. Hopefull others will let us know about their units. CCONKLIN1 11-09-09, 09:27 PM Dear Forum Moderators, Please shoot this guy for starting yet another thread on this projector! Thanks! Chris Rudeross 11-09-09, 10:50 PM Don't shoot him, thats mean. Just force him to real all the AE4000 theads, that'll keep him busy for a week or two. Kamus 11-09-09, 11:29 PM Dear Forum Moderators, Please shoot this guy for starting yet another thread on this projector! Thanks! Chris And you gotta love that not only do people start threads about stuff that is like 1000000 pages long already, but they all claim it's the "Official" thread, as if it was started by Panasonic themselves. Cinema Squid 11-10-09, 02:33 AM Wow, you guys are mean. Anyway, I though *this* was the new official thread: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1194484 Two hints for a possibly effective "official" thread replacement strategy: Create a damn useful first post that contains everything known and discussed thus far in an easily digestible format with lots of links to external sources of information. Be willing to update the first post with new information on a weekly basis for at least the next year until the replacement model arrives. Bujee1 11-11-09, 12:05 AM It's true that there are several threads going regarding this projector but every one of them has a distinct purpose. This one seems be devoted to punishing those who start even more threads on the same projector. :D I admire the OP for attempting to bring order where there is none. This projector with high performance and a low price point has brought chaos. Let's just ride this wave to the beach. Enjoy the chaos and enjoy shopping the threads for info. I know I do! TheSensFan 11-11-09, 08:08 AM I admit he may have went about it the wrong way. But the other thread became useless. 80% of the posts were the same: Do you think it will project on a 100 in screen? Do you think it will project on a 100 in screen with green walls? Do you think it will project on a 100 in screen with blue walls? Do you think it will project on a 102 in screen with pink walls? Do you think it will project on a 104 in screen? Do you think it will project on a 2000 in screen? . . . Then another 15% with comments: I can not wait to get this I think I am going to wait I hope it gets here soon I am not sure if i am going to get this . . . The remaining posts were informative. It is as if we need a thread for "true" discussion and one for "babble". My $0.02 TSF TF Ghost 11-11-09, 08:39 AM Well, considering the fact that it's actually a PT-AE4000U, I should probably start a new thread with the correct model#. :) AustinRI 11-11-09, 09:29 AM Please forgive me if I am not as intelligent or as smart as those who have criticized me for starting this thread. I ask the moderator to please remove this thread because I am not smart enough to compete with those stuck up members who think they know everything and have no consideration for others. Rather than adding information to a thread like a forum is suppose to be for, they condemn people. So moderator, please remove this thread and make all those snobs happy. I will go find another forum on the web that has much more professional members that are willing to help rather than to make me look like a fool. Though you may comment on continue to insult after you see this, I know for a fact that deep inside your minds you are someone trying to be someone that you are not. TF Ghost 11-11-09, 10:03 AM Relax, Austin, it's a public forum. I only see 2 posts "criticizing" you and a couple (including mine) meant to get a laugh or two. TheSensFan makes a good point - every thread seems to be overrun with the same general info (or lack thereof), which makes finding the technical info some are looking for much harder. What you're seeing is the frustration of certain members due to the lack of organization regarding the info on this projector. KO Abear 11-11-09, 10:19 AM So moderator, please remove this thread and make all those snobs happy. Geeez Austin, with that thin skin of yours I predict you are going to have trouble finding a forum on the internet that meets your stated criteria. :) Bujee1 11-11-09, 09:16 PM Please forgive me if I am not as intelligent or as smart as those who have criticized me for starting this thread. I've been hanging out in these forums for a couple of years. some folks you will get along with. Others not so much. You will find a niche that works for you. Please lets talk about what people think about this projector and some tweaking posts! Enuff with the BS. I was able to see an immeadiate upgrade from my sanyo z3000, i have wallpaper on my ps3 of my daughter with the sanyo it loked grainey and very digital, with this projector it looks definately smoother (less grainey) and more "picture" like. TF Ghost 11-12-09, 02:15 PM ^ I think that's a lost cause, duke. There's enough off-topic replies that this thread is going to ultimately die anyway, and there are already several AE4000 threads that actually have useful information in them. Might as well just stop posting in here. Kamus 11-12-09, 02:30 PM Please forgive me if I am not as intelligent or as smart as those who have criticized me for starting this thread.
