In my room I have the Pio Plasma 50" on the wall and a 134" motorized screen and PJ for sports, movies, etc. My viewing distance is about 15' or so and I am starting to think the 50" plasma is a but small. When I bought the plasma 5 years ago it was over $6,000. I was wondering what are my options to upgrade, in size at least, for getting into something 60"+ that I can hang on the wall.

Any suggestions?

do you have a budget in mind?

Since this is really just for casual viewing I would like to be budget minded but have no idea what things go for now. I don't want to spend 3K for a TV to watch news, The Backyardigans and oprah on but if that is the going rate then so be it.

With that in mind I would suggest either the Samsung 58" 550 or 650 series plasma or the Panasonic 58" S1 series plasma as it appears if you're running a projector that the room isn't flooded with lighting. You should be able to pick any of those up for around 2k.

Did your pio plasma die or something? What is wrong with it?

Panasonic 65" and Samsung 63" Plasmas can be bought for under $3k. Each would provide a big increase in picture size and provide 1080p. Might not want to see Oprah in high def  , but you may find you use it more often after upgrading.

Thanks. The 65" Panny may be a good fit. Is there a particular model you are referring to?
