Are they making televisions that can connect to a wifi network and let you use a wifi device (pc or smartphone) to fully control it as an IR remote would?

What I suspect you are looking for is a means to control your home theater with a WiFi smart phone (iPhone/iTouch/Droid, etc). I think it is a great idea and I am trying to find this solution. There are many pieces of the solution out there.
