Hello, my primary desktop monitor runs resolution at 1920x1200. If I add 2nd monitor, HDTV that has native resolution at 1920X1080, and I would to display one application on my desktop monitor and one other application on HDTV, is that possible?

For example, I would like to run VLC or Plex at full screen on HDTV and run Safari on desktop monitor. So one person can watch a movie on TV and other person can use PC with the desktop monitor. How will my mac pro handle it?
Since the native resolution on each monitor is different, would one monitor has to run none-native resolution to accommodate the other monitor's resolution?

Just fine.

With a Mac Pro you should be able to drive each display independently, just don't mirror the displays.
