Has anyone bought the contra-cal patch for KRP-500M and put isf night and day after there 150 hours of break in settings? If so, is there a definite difference? How complicated would it be to calibrate on your own using control-cal? If anybody has done themselves please give me your input.

Besides requiring a minimum of several hundred dollars of calibration stuff it can quite challenging to go from no calibration experience to doing a good job on a Kuro.

All true. On the other hand, he could install the patch and then find some pretty darn good settings elsewhere to plug in.

Not as good as a professional calibration by someone like D-Nice, of course, but I think still a very worthy improvement from using Pure with reference settings.
