I am thinking about getting a US model Panasonic Viera 46 inch plasma TV. However where I live we have 100 volt 50 hz running in our sockets compared to US being 110-120 and 60hz. My scientific intuition tells me it should work alright, but I'd thought I'd consult an expert first.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Where do you live. I know 230v/50hz is a standard. What is this 100v/50Hz. You need a step down transformer.

I live in Chiba Japan. The eastern half of Japan runs 100V 50hz and the west side is 100V 60hz. I would think within a country, all appliances should be designed to work all over with the exception of really old clocks.
I think I can find a voltage converter but there are no frequency converters.
