.. a compare at the Samsung site: no ToC on B530/Gray on B550, 15Wx2 B550 vs 10Wx2 for B530, USB (rear) on B550. headphone on B550, 802.11 (w/ adapter) on B550, total size/weight (w/wo stand). :) plus, yr mention of add. HDMI - B550.

I think the ps3 is a very good bd player.

The info I can find does not support that statment

I.E. Chad B rankings place the Sammie 860 a distant 6th place in the middle pack and 4th place among the Plasmas.

VE Shootout did not rank Samsung Plasma the best

Samsung has a good product ,both plasma and lcd are "good" ,to say they are the "best" may only be true on a individual level .

I'm interested in the samsung plasmas, ether 5 or 6 series.

Is there much difference? I can find plenty of reviews for the 6 but can't seem to find any for the 5 series.

Those of you using your ps3s as blu ray, do you also game on them? I want to know what the input lag is like. this board is loaded with people posting about a greater input lag with games on samsung plasmas ... at least compared to panasonic ones.

I game on a 2 year old regza (37hl67) now, and i don't have any issues with input lag, so do you think i'll be okay gaming on a samsung plasma (5 or 6 series?) what's your experience gaming on this set?

Lastly, when i look at the panasonic x and s series plasmas, i got turned off and started favoring lcds again b/c of the screen door effect on these panny plasmas. how clear is the image on the samsung, i read that there sets are usually more clear than panasonic, but thats all it said. What could they have been refering too, screen door effect?

I'm with you blueslit I see SDE on the pannys but not the sammys. Sears had the 50X1 and the 50B450 side by side and I didnt notice any SDE on the sammy. Its gennerally limited to 720p 50" displays but the 450 is 720p and i couldnt see it.
