Longtime lurker first time poster. I'm trying to see what my best option is for soundproofing my room. I've read up on clips, dd and green glue but I'm worried about flanking issues in my situation would cause defeat my efforts to go all out on soundproofing.

Here are the couple of issues I'm worrying about. First I have a support been that crosses the theater which is made of 3 12X2's attached together. Second issue is that my house extends out about 2.5' out from the concrete walls leaving a gap goes under my living room floor. I was thinking that would cause my walls to not be true double walls once I framed in front of them. Finally in the pictures you can see an existing wall to the right of the screen wall is part of the stairs assembly up to my main level.

I was wanting to extend that wall all of the way to back wall cutting the room into a lobby and then the theater. I was planning on making the existing wall into one side of a double wall assembly.

I was wondering what my best option would be with my circumstances? Would doing whisper-clips and dc-04 to connect my top plates to the joists along with double drywall and green glue be worth it? Or should I scale down because of possible issues with the support beam and stairs? Thanks for you opinions.
