Trying to decide between the Samsung LN52B610 52" for $1697 or the Sony KDL52VL150 for $1627.. Primary concern is picture quality.. I guess glossy would help that, I don't think i'm worried about glare, i'll use blinds.. TIA!

I think it's been established that the Sony VL150 is last years Z series.
The 610 is the same as this is years 620, 630, 640 with fewer connectivity options (internet, etc.).
These are all 80k panels, when you go up to the 650 it's a 100k panel.
I got the Toshiba 46XV640U last week, don't like it, gonna swap it with the 610, hopefully tomorrow.
The Sammy is $250 more but the Toshiba is really limited in PQ options and does not play nice with my DVR.

This might be a little late, but may be helpful for others. Originally purchased the Sony, and it was _ok_. Returned it and got the Samsung and I like it _way_ much better. The colors weren't as vibrant on the Sony as they were on the Samsung. Same with the blacks. Hope that helps.

The Sony VL150 is matte. The Samsung 610 is glossy. To each their own. Moving forward, it looks most of Sony's 2010 lineup will be glossy...
