I had a question about sliding door hardware. I currently have a cabinet that houses a TV with two opening doors on hinges. I want to convert the doors so that they can open on hinges, but when I want to watch tv I can push them back into the shelf itself on sliders. Much like how hotel rooms have the sliding/hinged doors to hide the tv's.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. I was looking to do this as a DIY project. The current hinges are housed inside so I would not need to putty the old screw holes and match stain etc.

Should be a fairly easy job, just cant seem to find the hardware and home depot/lowes is no help.

Thanks!

Home Depot sells the sliding/hinged hardware.

They're called pocket doors:

Best bet is to find a local Blum or Hafele supplier (both very good brands), if not, a local cabinet maker would be able to get them for you. Dont get cheap ones, you want a good smooth action - makes all the difference betweena cheap DIY job and something professional
