I often wonder why there are no HT construction shows on tv. I guess we all have to reply on AVS to provide us with the best possible tips.. You see kitchens, bathrooms, dining rooms being renovated but no HT basments..:(
Wish we had a show called "This Old HT".. anyone agree with me? happy turkey day to all on AVS..

there was a mini series on HT, also several one episode shows but you are right no continuing series.

If there was a show it would be about installing an HT-in-a-box system with a Plasma or LCD. Beyond that the techniques discussed here are too advanced and complicated, not to mention expensive, for the casual TV viewer.

The other possible showing would be on "This Old House" where they brought in somebody like Dennis Erskine to do the whole job. Then the price would be way beyond the average budget - just like everything else demoed on TOH.

Actually the four part series I saw went far beyond HTIB.

The four part series did a review of this theater build: (summary video)

They also took side trips to first an elaborate and then a modest Theo build.

There use to be a show that came on that was nothing but HT and a/v and stuff like that. I use to try and catch it but only caught a couple shows here and there.

There is so much to learn with not only the planing and construction of HT. BUT also the purchase of the right equipment and hooking it all up and getting it all to work correctly together.

You would think with all the HD this and HD that and flat tvs in everyones home that they would have something on tv. Its very popular and I hear people needing help all the time.
