Last night FOX 26 from WIlmington was out. SO I attempted to watch 8. Full of Interference.
This morning you cannot even see it. FOX 14 looks like a gem compared to WFXI. Last night WSFX had a clear picture, but all static for sound, so they took it completly off the air at 8PM

I thought WITN was at full power but according to the lastest Just Ask Mike segment on WITNTV.COM there are at 1/2 power and will be over the next few weeks be going up to full power and the signal may mess up on larger antennas, and if this happens to contact him at the station.

I live in Greenville and subscribe to what was Cox now Suddenlink. I just noticed tonight that they are dropping FitTV, NBA TV, NFL Network, Encore WAM!, Hot Choice, INHD1, and INHD2. They are adding Fuel TV, HDNet, and HD Net movies. I have two issues with this. First, they are dropping more channels than they are adding with no price decrease. Secondly, INHD has much better quality programming than HDNet. They also should add National Geographic HD. If any of you subscribe to Suddenlink, call and protest the deletion of INHD. INHD has recently carried the Carolina Hurricanes in HD and has carried ECU sports in HD in the past. HDNet did not.

I agree. This is why a city should not grant a franchise to only one cable company. I've also enjoyed INHD as well as Encore Wam. Suddenlink is getting off to a great start. :(

Sounds like the lying has already begun:

Roberson, Suddenlink director of public and government affairs in Greenville, said no price changes for services are planned in the near future as a result of the name change or conversion.

"We always make sure the prices are fair and competitive," Roberson said.

Roberson said cable television channels will stay the same. Suddenlink will constantly evaluate channel lineups to make sure it offers the most compelling and affordable mix of popular programs, he said.

"If we do make any changes, which we're not planning on doing, we will communicate to customers ahead of time and let them know," he said.

I just talked to a supervisor at SuddenLink. She said that INHD raised their cost 400% just because of the name change. This is what forced them to drop INHD. I guess this is believable because Cox Communications owns a portion of INHD along with a few more providers. SuddenLink has no connection to them and must buy their way in. But regardless, 400% percent is absurd..............

Guys, I need some help. I will be moving to New Bern in September and after reading this thread for an hour cannot find definitive CABLE TV information. There are 51 pages, so that's a lot of reading. :(

I think from what I have read that New Bern was COX controlled, but now is owned by a different smaller company...?

Can I have an HD channel lineup? Am I correct in reading that HDNet Movies was just added? God I hope so.

Are the HD stations bit stared and compressed, or passed untouched?

What EQUIPMENT are they using?

Is there active Firewire? I was forced to file an FCC complaint where I currently live to get the local cable company to offer firewire. I hope I don't have to do that again. :( I record right now to D-VHS and want to continue to do so.

Is 5C copy protection turned on? Are the 5C copy flags correct? (many cable companies have no clue how to set them)

Thanks for your help. Sorry to ask these questions, but I just cannot read any more.

God the website is a disaster. It seems incapable of giving me pricing. It keeps leaving out the charge for basic and the SD stations.

They use the SA 3250HD and 8300 boxes, which is what we have here in CT. Question will be what is the Firmware versions on these things. Can anyone post that and let me know if Firewire on the 3250 is turned on? The 8300's are widely known to have defective firewire, so I am not interested in that box.

I've had HDNet and InHD at different times. I always heard how great InHD was when I had DirecTV. Then I moved to cable and have been sorely disappointed with InHD. With the exception of the NHL Playoffs, I have yet to find a single program on InHD that sold me on it being better.

I am glad to see HDNet on the way and think it would be better to focus our energies on getting more HD. I had to complain three times before Cox removed a reference to Universal HD on their website in spite of the fact that they have never carried it in Greenville. Universal HD suffers from the same problem every HD channel has at this time: repetitive programming. The difference with it is that it brought some good shows on a regular basis including Battlestar Galactica, Boomtown, etc.

I know at one time the firewire port was active, because I used it. That was prior to their releasing the 8300 HD DVR.

Yeah, I started out as video editor for the 6 and 11 o'clock shows. When the opportunity came along to work on the website, I took it. So, long story short, yeah I'm working at WNCT.

I sent an e-mail with my resume to all 3 of the stations down here; had an interview with WITN. They never called back. Never heard from WCTI. WNCT only had an opening for video editor at the time and was willing to give me a break based on my interest what with encdtv.com and everything.

They never made any demands that I shut down my website. It just got to the point that after working in tv news all day long that I couldn't come home and watch another 3 hours of news plus I had the computer crashes around the holidays. That's why encdtv finally petered out. I just didn't have the time to put into it anymore.

Well, so much for long story short... *LOL*

Your first task as our "insider" at WNCT is to make sure that they transmit the CW subchannel in 16:9 480i, rather than in 4:3 480i. Let the cable company downconvert it to 4:3 letterbox for their analog viewers if they want.

The vast majority of viewers who have ATSC tuners have guess what ??? 16:9 displays !!! There is no reason to transmit a digital 4:3 version.

I will pass that information on to our engineering; I have no official ability to make that happen, but that would be my preference as well. There are more than a few people here who have HD sets as well so that's going for us too. Glad you brought that up though cause I was just thinking that last night.

I will put this out there though... Anyone that is interested in 16:9 480i for the CW, please direct an e-mail to our station manager and copy our chief engineer on it to get your voice heard. You can also send it to me at Gcrocker@wnct.com. I'm willing to go to bat on the issue in department head meetings, but I need support from the viewers also.

I have a high band VHF and a medium gain UHF coupled with a UHF/VHF combiner (no pre-amp) in my second floor walk out attic pointing towards the WITN/WNCT tower. The signals are rock solid. WUNK is also much easier for me than WUNC. WCTI only occasionally. Greensboro/Winston Salem is a total "no show" at my location. I am near Durant and Falls of Nuese.

My question deals with analog TV in the Greenville/New Bern area, and I know this is forum is for HDTV, but I honestly don't know where else People In Eastern NC Who Actually Know Stuff hang out.

I live in Raleigh, but often visit my parents in New Bern. While in New Bern, I like to watch TV, and my parents get local channels on Suddenlink/Cox. I do not know how well Suddenlink's services reflect the actual broadcasts, but one of my complaints about most local channels is the poor quality audio.

For a few years I have often wondered why so many stations in a single market do not have a hifi broadcast. I do not know if their digital broadcasts are any better, but out of ABC, CBS, and NBC, not one of the affiliates in the area carry hifi audio in their analog broadcast. Are there any explanations for this that don't deal with costs?

Individual station notes/questions/points of discussion:

UPN/WCTI - started out in June 2001 on Cox Cable with a wonderful sounding hifi broadcast, then went through some changes and for the past few years has been stuck with boring sounding monaural broadcast. Not that UPN48 shows many programs that I'm interested in, but I would probably tune in more often if the sound was better.

ABC/WCTI - The audio on this station seems to lack more depth than any other local station, and many times, static has rendered it completely unlistenable!

The WB/"WB 6" - I know it's a cable-only thing, but does anyone actually operate this station locally? The audio used to be in hifi, but not it too is monaural!

FOX/WYDO - Used to be the one remaining network affiliate (well, not counting WEPX, if "i" is a network) that had great sounding hifi audio. This past weekend, I tuned into The Simpsons and....it sounds terrible! I HOPE this is temporary, but maybe someone here is on the inside and knows more?

2 many tapes
I can answer some of those questions, but many I don't know the answers too either.

The digital audio quality is much better from 8 pm on. Before this time on WNCT HD, and WCTI HD(ABC) the audio is mono. Recently WNCT made adjustments to its digital audio and it is a lot duller than it used to be. Maybe Bertie can turn the audio output a little higher?

Now on WITN analog and digital you get HIFI all the time. But no Dolby Digital. DD is only on
WNCT and WUNM in this area.

WYDO is awful anymore. No Stereo or strength in signal at all.

Why WCTI and WNCT never offered a two channel stereo signal I do not know. All the Raleigh channels do. From what the cable company told me it is up to the particular station to take the necessary steps to deliver a HIFI signal.

Thank you, jsp, for your reply. I'm glad I'm not the only viewer who notices these things.
I actually survived into the 21st century never having owned hifi technology. I bought my first DVD player in 2001 (a half-decent Funai from Target on MLK Blvd.), wired it directly through my stereo (since my only VCR at the time was monaural) put in a DVD of "The X-Files", and my life changed instantly. I am a hifi stereo junkie and I only rarely watch my old tapes from the 1980s and 1990s because of this.
WUNM is always a step ahead of the curve, I love their production values. I did not count them amongst local channels since they're a clone/simulcast of Raleigh's station.
I'm glad to hear that WNCT and WCTI are putting better production values on their primetime digital programming. That is encouraging.

Same thing that's probably happened before... Nothing. It's pretty obvious that the FCC, Fox Network nor Piedmont Communications is interested in providing digital Fox programming to the viewers of Eastern North Carolina.

Didn't someone else say a very long time ago that this Fox affiliate would keep dragging this out over and over and over... Pitiful.

It's gotten to the point, I don't even bother checking WYDO anymore. Sad thing is I was really excited about seeing how they'd program 2 channels this Fall. Now, if I want Fox programming, I'll get it from WRAZ ota or WNYW or KTTV off of satellite. If I want MyNetworkTV programming, it'll come from Raleigh or whatever stations convert in NY/LA via satellite.

I'm not sure how Fox 8/14 planned to broadcast 2 digital channels when they can barely get an analog signal out for one....

I concur. I sent an email to the FOX 14 engineers noting the loss my family's viewership due to lousy signal transmission and encourged them to get their digital act together. I wonder if some pressure from local and/or national advertisers could hasten their progress. As I mentioned in my email, it's not the programming, it's the signal transmission, and the demographics will continue to shift toward a public interested in quality digital signal transmissions (IMHO). My family watches more local OTA digital programming than ever, but not FOX 14. It's a shame to have to seek outside our local area for decent FOX broadcasting.

I got lucky that WSFX digital barely reaches my house. Now I have no need for Fox 8 digital
and could care less if they are on the air analog half the time anymore. LOL

I feel for people in the New Bern area and east of Greenville who cannot turn to some other
choice for an analog or digital transmittion.
What one of our locals or some other outfit should do is come in here now and steal away the coverage area and provide an alternative decent FOX signal digitally.

Maybe Foxeng and his parent group?

I live on the south side of Greenville in Winterville. Just like everybody else, I got fed up with Fox8/14. So, I went to Rat Shack and bought a old fashioned UHF bowtie antenna. Not only was I able to receive WRAZ, I also started receiving nearly every channel in the Raleigh market. Of course the signal would go out on bad skip days or if I walked in front of the antenna. This past weekend I took down the bowtie and mounted a real UHF antenna bought from Radio Shack in my atic. This antenna is much more directional than the bowtie and I have lost some channels so that I could tune in the ones I wanted. But, the WB in HD and Fox/WRAZ in HD come in strong as thunder. The point of the matter is that in at least the Greenville area, a simple bowtie UHF antenna will get you more OTA HD programming than what the cable company provides here.

Did you build a new tower at some point?

WFXI can't move east because of us and Richmond channel 8. I suspect that first adjacent 7 and 9 might also have something to do with not being able to move east as well.

We have been on our curent 2000' tower near Trenton since 1981. The staition owned a 1200' tower on the other side of Trenton but it was sold before my time here (20yrs now) I believe it is now owned by WSFL. WRNS is at 1500' on my 2000' tower. Other than using the 1200' for a microwave hop which they already are I don't think broadcasting from it would be an option.

Ken

Ken,

The FCC file number for their application is BDISDTT-20060328AKE. It was filed 3/29/06. They are asking for 300 watts beamed hard northwest from the Raleigh tower cluster. What surprised me is that they could be only 300 watts on channel 12 next to probably 35,000 watts from WTVD-DT on channel 11.

I would think the biggest problem is that WCTI will KILL their signal everytime even a modest amount of tropo fires up. Who watches these LP's anyway. The HSN LP on channel 58 in Raleigh has had the same frozen frame for over a month!!!

PS I do occasionally pickup WCTI-DT in North Raleigh, but never for very long. WITN and WNCT are rock solid at 77 miles.

I saw the story on the Morning Edition today showing the new site.

9.1 WNCT HD
9.2 WNCT WX
9.3 The CW

easternncnewswat
07-25-06, 10:16 AM
I didn't design the site outright; it was more a collaborative effort amongst my team members in the atlantic region. It was a fun but somewhat painful process at times and we are still hammering out some things. I like the design though; it's along the lines of what I originally started out with, but a bit more streamlined.

What you saw on ME was a 1:16 pkg/vo that I put together yesterday after lunch. I thought it turned out really well; it had been a while since I cut video and put anything together so I was real pleased with how it turned out! Mr. H teased me about holding up that shot of Carley for about 10 seconds. *LOL*

9.2 will be the CW to the best of my knowledge. Not sure what plans there are for further multicasting. Right now, there is no 9.3 and I would assume it'll stay that way. However, never say never...

jspENC
07-25-06, 01:14 PM
Eastern, is the reason there will be no 9.3 because WNCT analog and WITN analog take up
the rest of the bandwidth? It seems like I read somewhere that these two signals are on
one antenna, but not quite sure I understand how that can be.

Check out THETUBE. They turned it on this morning on WSFX 26.2!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v220/jsp699/me024.jpg

easternncnewswat
07-25-06, 02:59 PM
I would assume the 9.3 issue would have to do with bandwith because CBS and NBC broadcast at 1080i whereas ABC and Fox broadcast 720p. That's why CTI could do another channel a lot easier than NCT or ITN could. You would need a state of the art encoder to process and not lose all the bits needed to multicast 3 channels. And still you'd probably be sacrificing some pq. Ken12 could explain it a lot better than me, but that's the "gist" of it, I think. I don't think it has anything to do with the analog side of it.

jspENC
07-25-06, 03:36 PM
That makes sense. Still I notice that 9-2 looks like it is lacking the most bandwidth out of any
other channel I get. But I would rather it look like it does than to see a lot of pixelation on
regular 9. I'm thinking more bandwidth will be added to 9-2 once CW is on the air.

WNCT is constantly airing an ad that the CW is coming and to get ready! I guess by this
they want you the customer to start the ball rolling and demand that your provider pick them up. I think FCC guidelines do not require a digital subchannel be carried by cable, but
not positive on that.

Ken I like the sound of your ideas! Can hardly wait to see what things are going to be like

Since it appears that WEPX/WPXU are Pax O&O's (could be wrong), I wonder how they will program the channels. Since WEPX doesn't even have a digital channel, I assume that MYTV will be the main program service, but what about the hours that are not programmed by MYTV. Back to I/PAX ??? I have pretty much the same question as matthewmon. A couple of differences, I live in Greenville in a condo on the second of two stories. What is the best type of antenna I can use to pic up HD/digital channels? I have used a 'rabbitt ear' model from Circuit City, just wondering if a different type would get me more channels. The only ones I can get as of now are WITN, WNCT, and WCTI.

I live in SW Greenville and use a $25 Phillips 45db or 50db (I forget which) amplified indoor antenna that I got from Wal Mart. I get the RDU stations as well as our locals here in ENC. You might try that one. Every antenna I've ever gotten from Circuit City and Radio Shack (indoor-wise) was garbage. Go to Wally World and cross your fingers.

If you can put an antenna in the attic of that two story condo, you should do well I would
guess.
Get the RG-6 size coax, if you decide to try that. Lowes carries Channel master antennas
that are small. You don't need a huge VHF antenna since everything is UHF but WNCT.

Maybe try the Radio shack UHF only model first and see if that will get WNCT. It is very
small for an outdoor antenna and worked well for me at 60 miles.

That is the antenna I am talking about. Don't worry about if it says HD antenna or not, they
all are made for UHF.
Also is there any need for me to get an antenna with both uhf and vhf?

If you want WNCT HD, (10) then yes you might need a VHF and UHF. Also WTVD, WCTI, WSKY and WFXI will be on VHF channels 11, 12, 9 and 8 once the analog is shut off in 2009. You might try the antenna you gave a link to and see if it will work for WNCT first before you go with a bigger comb0.

The radio shack antenna is good, but the Channel Master 4221 UHF might do better with WNCT if you can find one. I had to go to Wilmington to get mine. All you can do is play
trial and error and see if you get lucky. lol

The good thing is you don't need a huge VHF antenna for these high band channels. The
really big ones are for low band channels 2-6. Another pointer from Ken12. He explained
that to me a while back.

Thanks for all the info, I went out and picked up the only UHF antenna left at radio shack (the one in the link). I will try that later this week. If not I will try the Channel Master. And yes I kinda would like to get WNCT, although now that I actually think about it, I dont know why, I get it from Suddenlink, lol. Truthfully the only reason I wanted an antenna is so I could watch Fox in HD, because Suddenlink has NO idea when they are gonna pick it up. Thanks again!

That is exactly what I did. I live in Winterville. I use a Radio Shack UHF (the one in the link above) mounted in the attic and receive just about all the Raleigh stations. And I too, did it mainly for FOX in HD and the WB in HD. My antenna is pointed towards the west and I receive all the local HD channels great too, including WNCT 9. You will need a mounting kit, coax cable (RG6), and a 700ohm to RG6 converter. I bought the antenna bracket, cable, and converter from Lowes. The mounting hardware I bought from Lowes came with two metal brackets. I only used one and mounted it to one of the cross supports at the peek of my attic. I then secured a 1'' conduit like pipe to the bracket so it would hang straight down from the peek. I mounted the antenna to this pipe and pointed it westward. Works like a champ.

I don't see why they should wait for WFXI. WSFX FOX HD should already be added on...

Directv will be switching everyone to one dish for locals in January! Hopefully when they do
that they will add all the Wilmington locals for Onslow County at that time. We get better
coverage of severe weather from Wilmington stations usually and many people want

I’m new to this type of stuff and have a few questions.

I just installed a VU-90 XR from Radio Shack. I have it about 24 ft. off the ground at the moment in a backyard full of pine trees that stretch well over a hundred feet in height.

I live about the midpoint between Greenville and Farmville and without much testing yet, I am able to pickup all of the above channels except for 22.1. This is just by pointing it in the general area of the main channel I wanted to get, FOX 50 HD and then swing it toward the other channels like 12 etc. (which I could only pick up on Channel 48 I believe it was). I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the reception I’m getting.

My remaining questions are basically, do I need or would it help to have an amplifier or preamp or whatever they’re called and how important is it to make sure everything is grounded properly? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I didn't see the news last night, but that's a good idea in them doing that.

I thought it was just me thinking that 7.2 was exceptionally clear. To me it is clearer
than 7.1's standard def feed. Shouldn't this be the other way around? But it's not just WITN, I find the same issue exists with WWAY 3.2--When they had both 3.1 and
3.2 live with hurricane coverage, the picture on 3.2 was superior to 3.1

On programs that both WITN and WECT carry at the same times such as Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and Today, WECT 6.1's picture quality blows away WITN.

I wonder why WITN channel 7 HD was not broadcasting the Dolby 5.1 digital audio feed during last night's NFL game. NBC channel 17 out of Raleigh was. NBC advertised several times during the game that it was being broadcasted in HD and in Dolby 5.1.

This kinda leads to another question. First of all, I am very greatful I can receive just about all Raleigh stations from my home in Winterville. So, from a technical standpoint I can get the HD signals from Raleigh. But, as I search in these forums, hardly anything exciting ever happens in this forum or eastern NC as far as new TV/HDTV technologies is concerned. They constantly bicker in the Raleigh forum on which service provider has the best quality. Here in eastern NC we are lucky if we get it at all. We have no idea what is going on with our Fox station. Timewarner beats the socks off Suddenlink in service offerings. Nobody at Suddenlink will tell you if upgrades are in the works or not. I just got back from a trip to the northern Virginia area. My buddy up there had Verizon FIOS Internet. At any one time he had a 15 meg down rate 2 meg up rate for half the cost I pay for my SLOW 3 meg/512k broadband connection (I have the fastest connection my provider can provide). Embarq/Sprint must have exclusive rights on the exchanges in the 252 area code because IP phone service has been out for several years now, but every area code in the state is offered except for 252. I know I am ranting here. I also know that the ultimate reason for all this is money and the ability to make money from the service providers' investments. Its agravating though........ Just my thoughts....

An interesting tidbit for those living in Suddenlink's service area. There is starting to be more and more chatter on the Internet from reliable sources that Tiime Warner has made an offer to buy Suddenlink's operations in NC. Time Warner tried to buy it when Cox was selling, but Cox did not want to break up the deal. They wanted someone to buy all the for sale properties at once including those in the midwest. I guess we will wait and see.......... Like we usually do.......

When we installed our digital equipment NBC fed 5.1 Surround Sound in such a way that it was passed through

I thought for sure CBS would go HD, what is wrong with them?! My bet is still ABC will be the
first evening news in HD. When is ABC news now coming back?

Eastern can we have a sneak peek at the CW line-up during the day?

Katie didn't want it. Most women on TV DO NOT like HD. It shows their flaws.

I can't wait to see it; logo, programming, etc. Glad to see ENC will finally have an independent station. Hope it goes well!

Doesn't sound like MyNetworkTV is looking too promising based on overnights so far. CTI might have dodged a bullet not picking that up. Guess it takes time for a new network to get going anyway, but still not promising for MNT's overall future. Still, it's got Rupert Murdoch behind it so there's no telling how it will ultimately turn out... We shall see.

[QUOTE=avs0208]You will need a mounting kit, coax cable (RG6), and a 700ohm to RG6 converter. I bought the antenna bracket, cable, and converter from Lowes. The WB was great in HD, but it is being replaced in September. Does anyone know if the new CW channel will be in HD in eastern NC? If not, will any of the Raleigh stations carry it in HD?

Did you really mean a 700 ohm to RG6 converter? I went to Lowes and Radio Shack and neither place had it or had ever heard of it. The guy at RS gave me a 75 ohm to 300 ohm matching transformer http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062054&cp=&origkw=15-1253&kw=15-1253&parentPage=search to connect to the antenna and a cable coupler http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103648&cp to connect the transformer to the RG6 cable. I bought my antenna from Radio Shack http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103088&cp=&pg=2&origkw=antenna&kw=antenna&parentPage=search. It is mounted in my attic pointed towards Raleigh. The local Greenville channels still come in strong accept for WCTI 12. I have cable so this is no problem. I only use this antenna for Fox HD and soon to be CW HD. It works great!

WCTI is much weaker than the others. That radio shack antenna is very directional. I had one
that I changed out for a CM 4221. It works better when the wind is blowing. I need to get
rid of the Radio shack combo I have, with this wind blowing today 7 and 12 are constantly
breaking up... I think it is the trees, plus a combination of over amplification of close-by antennas.

It should. It is the same thing, but the opposite with the coupler being a gender changer. I would probably switch out for the transformer I noted. It will decrease the number of connections and limit loss. Plus, it only costs ~$5.

Some people would disagree with me, but I think gold connectors are a waste in most installations. I am not using any in my setup.

Your right VAR, their picture quality SD is horrible compared to others. I'm worried about how
WNCT is going to look with 3 channels going. The audio is absolutley horrid on 9.1
It makes me think we've gone back in time instead of improved. The analog 9 sound is better
than the digital...... It used to be good, I don't know what they did but they made a wrong adjustment somewhere.
If it doesn't improve when the CW comes on I guess I will send an e-mail in.

Ive been emailing WITN over the last couple of weeks about a 7.3 channel, mostly about if no new programming maybe a SD feed for those folks with out a Directv or Dish feed so they could get a full screen feed of WITN.

The question is: Will WNCT present CW in 480i 4:3, or 480i 16:9 ??? My guess is that 98% of the TV's with ATSC tuners are widescreen, so it only makes sense that they would format it in 16:9 to take advantage of it.

But as broadcasters, my guess is they will do 4:3 so as not to upset the 4:3 crowd who can't even tune the channel anyway.

Any bets ?????

But EchoStar Makes Subscriber Gains From Frustrated Viewers

DirecTV touted its ambitious HD plans at an investor's conference last week, while many customers appear as frustrated as ever with the satellite operator's HD offerings and practices.

DirecTV assured Wall Street during the Kaufman Bros. conference in New York that by the end of 2007, the satellite provider will have enough capacity to offer 1,500 high-definition local channels and 150 national HD channels. Plans call for the launch of DirecTV's ninth and 10th satellites in the spring and summer of next year. DirecTV also touted its local channel growth, noting that the company can provide HD local channels to 58 percent of all U.S. households. From discussions here, The CW will drop at 12:01 Sunday night/Monday morning. There has been a flurry of activity and still is, but I wouldn't expect to see anything until then or Monday if there are problems. As far as I know, we're keeping 9.3 with the VIPIR for now. Not sure how that's going to turn out; that's why I'm encouraging feedback now. Don't wait until it's too late.
