One more question...

The RPTV is 6' away from the switch location but the PJ will need a run of about 38' on composite. I am running this composite in addition to a HDMI connection as an alternate for the PJ as it has an excellent scaler built in and some say composite looks actually better than HDMI. Any problems expected for such a long analog run and which one of your switchers (62 vs 42) would be your recommendation for just the long run? I don't need the matrix or the audio functionality as we only watch one or the other display and all audio is switched by a processor.

Thanks,
David

mshust -- The RS switches are no longer avilable. They stopped carrying them some time in the 1Q of this year.

There should be no problem running the composite 40 ft with any of our switchers. However, I wouldn't believe that composite would look better than HDMI in any case unless there is something wrong with the source. Component video can definately look better than HDMI sometimes, but not composite.

Videostorm,

I am sorry I meant component of course. Same question again for component over a 40' run?

Thanks,
David

40ft is also good for component as long as you use decent cables (solid core). Our switches are tested to over 300ft.
