View Full Version : How about a thread for D-VHS coverart?
image2006 09-09-06, 09:10 PM Well, looks like customcovers died a quick death & took my money w/it.
hmm quite pissed at this post pardon the lanuage.
Who ever Brajesh is - he or she is talking pure crap as customcovers never accepted donations of any sort and never even asked for members to join and then pay to get access to covers so wonder how he came up with that line.
Anyway to put the record straight Customcovers is back online and has been for a few months now.so Brajesh if u reading this then i never took any of your money. Its amazing how posts come back to haunt u.Also a lot of the members from the old Customcovers.org site are still there so your free to ask anyone if i ever charged.
I only found this thread here by accident while searching google.
jhuehne 10-28-06, 08:49 AM Where are these covers located now? I can't seem to find them.
I haven't been able to locate the D-vhs section on Nathan's board, maybe it's gone :(
Em
xradman 10-30-06, 08:02 AM Anyone with these, could you please PM me. Thanks.
Nathan_R 10-30-06, 09:32 AM I took them all down a couple of months ago in order to avoid C&D letters. Someone here was threatening to send a link to FOX and WB because I hosted some custom HD DVD art, too.
That's truly a shame, Nathan.
Please let us know if the covers shuold pop up somewhere :)
Keep up the good work,
Best,
Em
Matt_Stevens 10-31-06, 07:52 AM People are such @ssholes, I swear.
We do need an HD-DVD art page, but how to do it is the question. :(
If anyone wants DVHS covers I have tons of them and will be glad to email select titles. As in, let me know what you want and if I have it I will email it to you.

Good job, but you might want to create a new thread for this, as this is for D-VHS covers, and folks looking for alternative HD-DVD covers will not be looking here. ;)
xradman 11-10-06, 11:07 PM In celebrating broadcast of Star Wars on Cinemax HD, here is my very first effort at a custom D-VHS cover. :)

Wow, what a great hobby for those with talent. You know, there might be a market for custom DVD covers. Imagine, DVD, HD, BD covers with common spines that look like a book collection, rather than a patchwork quilt on your shelves. Also an Ex Libris box that you can sign so your relatives know they don't own it!!
Hmm. Forgot. You would be sued PDQ by the studios. Let's keep this low profile. Jack Valenti is still alive.
tkmedia2 11-11-06, 01:58 AM I'll continue to make coverart no matter the format. I've done so for every recordable audio/video formats I've own and I've owned a lot. From 8track, compact audio cassete, MiniDisc, U-matic, BETACAM... Heck I even made some for my 35mm film cans. but sharing them maybe a problem...
picklesque 11-24-06, 08:19 PM if i may say it;s about time.........d-vhs is what it;'s all about in my book
tkmedia2 11-24-06, 08:42 PM umm, right picklesque. D-VHS is a very dead old format, it's over and on it's last blank page of the book. I'm still enjoying D-VHS to this day, but less so because of BD and HD DVD.
picklesque 11-25-06, 06:41 PM people like you.....that's why everyone watches movies on a disc now. VHS was always the best way to go...easy simple and unmatchable quality. discs scratch easily and are from the devil himself. shame on all of you
tkmedia2 11-25-06, 07:28 PM ?? I didnt know I had that much of an influence. I guess buying every D-VHS release and 3 different deck was a bad thing for the format. Also didnt prerecorded movies on disc come out way before movies on tape? I personally dont care what format movies come in tape, disc, streaming, even film. I watch any way I can as long as compaines keep releasing content no matter the container. Example I still buy lots of VHS tapes to this day.
picklesque 11-25-06, 08:35 PM TOny...good for you for still buying VHS tapes. I still do to and will keep the format alive myself if i have too
AndrewAV 03-09-07, 07:57 PM I just started recording HDTV on DVHS and would love to get a database of coverart. Please where can i find them now everyplace seems to be long gone.
Thanks!
sf49ersnfl 04-14-07, 05:34 PM d-vhs has recently caught my eye as a good way to record my favorite show 24 off fox. Are these players any good for recording hd material and where the heck can i find one?
