View Full Version : 'Weeds' on SHO HD Vipfreak 08-04-11, 10:54 AM Good episode. DrLar 08-04-11, 11:08 AM I'm guessing Shane is getting all those loans with his fake name right? and him going to police academy? wow.. Vipfreak 08-09-11, 01:30 PM Oh gawd! I heart this show, LMAO! "**** this, I quit... I'm going to college, they have student loans". LOL @ ending. Young C 08-09-11, 02:00 PM I thought the black hooker w/braces was kinda cute. ha Good episode. Vipfreak 08-09-11, 05:48 PM ^agreed! But... I would be afraid of catching something. Edit: Oh wait! This is weeds not BB. I'm thinking of the chick that plays mario cart with jesse. Lol Young C 08-15-11, 09:34 PM What a ending. I doubt that a CEO would want to be a part of that scene. lpnaz480 08-15-11, 10:09 PM Such a funny ending. I've liked most episodes so far Vipfreak 08-16-11, 04:57 AM Lmao, shits gonna hit the fan hard. Nice Trachenberg, missed her. PooperScooper 08-17-11, 05:45 AM This was one of the best episodes of Weeds in quite a while. The ending scene is a Top 10 all time Weeds scene. The looks on Andy's and Silas's faces were so funny! :) I was laughing out loud. larry Young C 08-22-11, 09:35 PM Shane did a good job of printing out the police reports of Pouncy. A little too late though. The "upside down room" was weird. Good episode. Doug and Andy had a couple good lines in there. Vipfreak 08-23-11, 06:11 AM Wow! @#$%ing hilarious! Lmfao! Vipfreak 08-30-11, 12:54 PM Lol, i can already see the build up to **** hitting the fan. Vipfreak 09-13-11, 03:35 AM Filler but still good. Really enjoying the cast. Young C 09-19-11, 09:31 PM Silas set her up? Vipfreak 09-20-11, 09:35 AM Silas has no chance against Nancy. She'll get out of whatever Silas throws at her. Love Demitri and Emma, they're great. Good episode. Matt L 09-21-11, 12:16 AM There might be one more season left in the show, but I'm not sure how I'd like it to go out, Nancy on top or always in trouble. I have to say this season was much improved. PooperScooper 09-21-11, 05:31 AM Yes, this season is much better than last season. How many more episodes this season? larry archiguy 09-21-11, 06:54 AM I must confess, I'm not sure what's being set up here for the finale. An awful lot of stuff was packed into those last couple of minutes... You know, when this show hits, it's still wickedly funny. I think the "problem" people perceive with 'Weeds' in its twilight years is it doesn't seem to hit as often, kind of like an aging ballplayer. He can still punch it outta' the park now and then, but he also frequently strikes out. That whole scene at the Hamptons? Grand slam. :D moob 09-21-11, 03:21 PM Yes, this season is much better than last season. How many more episodes this season? larry Previews said that next week is the finale. I'm not really feeling this show anymore. Like archi said, it can still be funny, but it isn't often enough. I'm also not a huge fan of Silas, or maybe it's the dude who plays Silas? Not sure which one it is...Shane just seems so much more interesting. joetoronto 09-21-11, 04:23 PM I couldn't agree more, this show blows now. dminches 09-21-11, 09:05 PM I am not sure what people are expecting from this show. This has been a very good season. The story has centered on the main characters (Nancy, silas, andy, shane) and has had a lot of funny moments. This is way better than the storylines in Mexico. Matt L 09-21-11, 11:24 PM Exactly. I think it's interesting that Nancy created what may turn out to be her biggest foe in her son. The way it's progressing he may out Nancy Nancy. He certainly knows all her tricks and thought processes. I'd like one more season to wrap it all up. Young C 09-26-11, 09:32 PM An OK episode. Lots of larger arguments this evening. The policeman was sure broken up. His eyes were red and he cried. I also doubt that she got shot. Ha :p Vipfreak 09-27-11, 05:05 AM Breaking Bad made this finale look pretty pathetic. Was ok. Young C 09-27-11, 06:51 AM Breaking Bad made this finale look pretty pathetic. Was ok. Finale? I was unaware of this  Checking the DVR now.. The episode does not indicate a season finale. Vipfreak 09-27-11, 02:09 PM It's the last one on IMDB and here. http://epguides.com/Weeds/ I'm also unsure if this is the last episode of the season or the last episode ever. Ph8te 09-27-11, 04:10 PM It's the last one on IMDB and here. http://epguides.com/Weeds/ I'm also unsure if this is the last episode of the season or the last episode ever. The show has not been renewed as of yet, so no one really knows its status. Mondays show as the season finale as it was advertised last week and two.weeks prior on spots and previews as such. Vipfreak 09-27-11, 04:13 PM The last two episodes were so blah crazy that I dunno if they should continue. Young C 09-27-11, 08:35 PM Wow, you guys are right. Next Monday during the Weeds time slot is the premier of "Homeland". Interesting way to end things. PooperScooper 09-28-11, 06:00 AM This season was better than last year, but neither matched Weeds of old. Let it be over. larry Stocky 09-28-11, 09:33 AM Once they left Agrestic , Weed's "jumped the shark" . It's a shame , it was VERY funny and entertaining early on . Ph8te 09-28-11, 11:01 AM Wow, you guys are right. Next Monday during the Weeds time slot is the premier of "Homeland". Interesting way to end things. Technically its the repeat of the premier, the actual premier is on Sunday after Dexter.... Ray Lucca 09-29-11, 10:27 AM Many of us have already watched the 1st episode of Homeland on Direc. Ch. 239 /Audience Ch. Watched it again last night, great to see Capt. Winters [From Band of Brothers], Mandy Patinkin, Claire Danes and Morena Baccarin [Yes, she grew her hair back, and looks very hot!]...I'm in, ck. it out.... Early premiers don't count ;) many people also don't have Direct TV so it wouldn't be available to them. I was referring to the official premier that is on Sunday :p dc_pilgrim 09-30-11, 05:28 PM Once they left Agrestic , Weed's "jumped the shark" . It's a shame , it was VERY funny and entertaining early on . I found it uneven, but the last couple seasons were pretty good. The first two were the best though. Vipfreak 09-30-11, 06:31 PM Morena Baccarin [Yes, she grew her hair back, and looks very hot!] I did a double take when I saw that name. Gonna hate the show but I'll check it out for her. Miss her and Firefly (Dunno wtf she was thinking with V) slowbiscuit 10-01-11, 09:44 AM I hope this was the end, because it finished in a good way. mikey mo 10-02-11, 02:34 AM I hope this was the end, because it finished in a good way. A gun shot is a good way?:( slowbiscuit 10-03-11, 11:34 AM For this show, sure. biker19 10-06-11, 06:55 AM Was that series or season finale? archiguy 10-06-11, 08:11 AM Was that series or season finale? Season. PooperScooper 10-06-11, 11:51 AM Season. No renewal yet. From what I read they're expecting to renew. As I said earlier, they should just let it be. larry flint350 10-06-11, 03:41 PM I agree that they should let it end. To me, the current ending was written with that in mind, but allowing them to continue if renewed since they don't show the result of the shot. With the show losing steam (for many of us), I can live with the fade-to-black/shot and imagine my own ending. dad1153 11-10-11, 07:00 PM Showtime renews "Weeds" for eigth season: http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/11/10/weeds-renewed-showtime/. Vipfreak 11-10-11, 08:38 PM Yay (I think...) Young C 11-10-11, 09:40 PM Hey, cool. Thanks for the posting. slowbiscuit 11-11-11, 06:49 AM Ugh. PooperScooper 11-11-11, 08:00 AM Sigh.... larry archiguy 11-11-11, 08:34 AM I'm fairly certain this will be the last season and, like many here, I'm fine with that. The concept is pretty much mined out at this point. They can't leave us hanging with last season's finale's cliffhangers, and considering the continued popularity of the show, another season was warranted and probably inevitable. I just hope they pull out all the stops and go for big laughs in their swan song rather than more business intrigue. As the old show business expression goes: always leave 'em laughing. When this show hits on all cylinders, it does that well. dad1153 11-12-11, 02:57 PM TV Notes Netflix, Lionsgate TV Closing Deal For Jenji Kohan’s ‘Orange Is The New Black’ Comedy By Nellie Andreeva, Deadline.com - November 11th, 2011 EXCLUSIVE: I have learned that after lengthy negotiations, Netflix is finalizing a deal with Lionsgate TV for a 13-episode straight-to-series order to Orange Is The New Black, a comedy from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan. This marks the second original series for Netflix, which earlier this year gave a 26-episode straight-to-series pickup to MRC’s David Fincher/Kevin Spacey drama House Of Cards. Kohan’s project falls under her rich overall deal with Lionsgate TV. Co-created and executive produced by Kohan and House co-executive producer Liz Friedman, it is based on Piper Kerman’s memoir Orange Is The New Black: My Year In a Women’s Prison and revolves around women in prison. The book chronicles nonprofit communications executive Kerman’s year-long stint at the minimum security correctional facility in Danbury, Conn., stemming from a conviction for her part in a drug smuggling and money-laundering scheme she got tangled up in 10 years earlier as a fresh college graduate. Netflix is already in business with Lionsgate TV. In April, the streaming/DVD-by-mail giant signed an exclusive syndication deal with Lionsgate to stream up to seven seasons of the studio’s acclaimed AMC drama Mad Men. The pact paved the way for other syndication-type deals with Netflix, including the CW’s recent agreement that could fetch the network up to $1 billion. Netflix’s stock has taken a beating lately after some missteps, including the company’s controversial decision to raise the price of its combined streaming and DV- rental service by 60%, and a disappointing 3Q earnings report. http://www.deadline.com/2011/11/netflix-lionsgate-tv-closing-deal-for-jenji-kohans-orange-is-the-new-black-comedy/ dad1153 01-12-12, 04:45 PM Winter TCA Tour Notes 'Weeds': 'Real Possibility' That Next Season Could Be Its Last By Lesley Goldberg, The Hollywood Reporter's 'Live Feed' Blog - Jan. 12, 2012 The upcoming eighth season of Weeds could be its last, Showtime Entertainment president David Nevins told reporters Thursday following his executive session at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour. While discussions are under way with Weeds creator Jenji Kohan, the executive said "it's a real possibility" that Season 8 of the dramedy about drug dealing mother Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) and her family of law-breaking delinquents may be its last. In the Sept. 26 Season 7 finale, which jumped ahead a few years, a sniper set their target on Nancy after she moved into a mansion/"compound" with her son, estranged sister, former brother-in-law, two sons and family friend Doug. The last image viewers saw was Nancy through the sniper's sights with a laser appearing on her forehead, the sound of a gunshot and a blackscreen. Nevins said Kohan is considering a "couple different paths" that the season could go and is waiting on word from her about the direction of the show, which has picked up multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations during its seven-season run. The future of the series -- which ranks as Showtime's highest-rated comedy series -- was in question for nearly two months before Showtime announced the eighth-season renewal, time Nevins said was spent negotiating a new license with distributor Lionsgate. Last season averaged roughly 720,000 viewers, according to Nielsen. Season 8 will premiere in the summer. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/tca-showtime-weeds-future-281068 Matt L 01-12-12, 11:01 PM They need to wrap the show up, it was fun but there were a few weak seasons. Last year kind of redeemed it, but there isn't too much further they can go. The kids are grown, Nancy is getting a bit old to be dealing, and they have been involved with every sort of criminal. Vipfreak 01-13-12, 03:26 AM I think they should've just ended it with the last season. That was a good ending. PooperScooper 01-13-12, 08:29 AM Could be? It better be. :) It jumped the shark long ago. larry archiguy 01-13-12, 09:05 AM Yeah, Nancy and her flock have just about overstayed their welcome, and I say that as a big fan. They've been terrific party guests, we've had a great time, but it's really time to call it a night. One more nightcap, just for old time's sake, and then it's sayonara. Young C 03-16-12, 10:51 AM TV Notes Showtime Sets Premiere Dates For ‘Weeds’ & ‘Episodes’ The premium cable network announced today that the Season 8 premiere of Weeds and the second-season bow of Episodes are set for Sunday, July 1, 2012. Weeds will feature 13 half-hour episodes and is in the 10 PM slot, while Episodes, starring current Golden Globe winner Matt LeBlanc, shot nine half-hour episodes and will follow at 10:30. http://www.deadline.com/2012/03/showtime-premiere-dates-weeds-episodes-tv-schedul/ Vipfreak 03-16-12, 04:09 PM I guess I'll see how both shows go. cuzzin 03-16-12, 04:21 PM So no word on whether or not this is the last season? I really hope it is. Vipfreak 03-16-12, 04:27 PM Most report it pretty much is. dminches 03-17-12, 08:24 AM So no word on whether or not this is the last season? I really hope it is. Why? What if it is great? It's not like anyone is forced to watch it. |
