I thought it was a bit lame.

The one about Poe was really lame, I could only watch 20 mins of it. The longest 20 mins of my life :p

I started watching the Washingtonians, I just watched like 10 mins and looked better than the Poe episode, I'll give it another 10-15 mins to see if it's really good.

Sorry, that Washington episode was the worse of them all. Just so corny. The series has taken a turn from horror (it IS called Masters of Horror) to comedy. Horrible episode.

Somebody who's seen all of these should rate them in terms of quantity/quality of nude scenes. That seems to be this series' most popular attribute.

I thought the "Washingtonians" was a GREAT episode. Not really scary, but sick and very funny. Points for pure audacity. Horror doesn't always have to be frightening. And it definitely was much better than the crap last one I saw about ice cream.

I've seen all of them, both seasons. But I am not sure I should do the rating you mention.

Darn, some people do not like 'The Washingtonians' . The ending, where Pres. Bush is on the dollar bill, that was stupid.

The season finale was ok.
It reminded me of the horror movie 'the grudge' or something of that nature.

fredfa, any word on for a new season?

LOL ... I thought it was rather "inspired" commentary :D

I hope they get another season ready. Very good series.
My friend wants to rent or buy the DVDs so he can see that unreleased episode. The episode that Showtime did not broadcast.

It is episode number 13 and titled "Imprint" Directed by Takashi Miike.

"An American journalist in 19th century Japan is hoping to find the love he left behind. His long search leads him to a dark island where the only sanctuary is a brothel. He ends up spending the night with an interesting woman where he learns that some things are better off left in the past."

sounds like they left out the best episode :)

I've seen it and I don't think it was the best episode. It was very difficult to watch (in fact it actually gave me nightmares!); very graphic and realistic torture. Also the main "special effect" looked a little comical. Overall it was entertaining but I wouldn't watch it again.

The Blu-rays of season one come out soon. I will be very interested in how the pq is, since the broadcast pq was quite good. The first two discs have many of my favorites on them; can't wait!

Great Show. Guess we will have to settle for the really great DEXTER in the meantime.

I would think giving nightmares would be a goal for a show titled "Masters of Horror". Means they've done their job. ;)

Good/bad news on a new season:

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117972680.html?categoryid=14&cs=1&p=0

looks like there will be a tame network version of the series, but we will get the full unedited episodes for dvd. I'll skip the broadcast.

wow, that is a bummer. I dont see how Showtime would let this be broadcasted on a edited channel.

I only read a little bit of the article.
Yeah, I'll skip the shows and buy it on DVD.

Showtime should have had another season, rather than 'taming' it down.

Thanks for posting that.

For some reason I don't feel back about having cancel Showtime after last season ;)

I agree. Even if it was uneven, and cheesy at times, I liked the series. There isn't much Horror on TV anymore, and I won't bother watching watered down versions on regular TV. Pity! :(

I finally saw it! Masters of Horror "Imprint"
I thought the torture scene was not 'that' bad. It did seem like it would HURT though :p

Komomo was pretty.

ohh, I have never seen so many dead fetuses in one movie/show before.
