When you say "kicked out" do you mean after the game has started? Or before the game starts and while you are on the list of gamers waiting to start the game (in the lobby) ?

I only ask this because I've had very few problems with this on this demo. Usually if I try to join a game and it says "game was cancelled" or something like that, I think that's what it says after the game has started and I was just too late to join. When this happens, I don't even make it into the lobby and I just have to start a new search for games.

The only other thing I've noticed is that sometimes when in a lobby waiting to play I see gamers names appear for a brief second and then drop off. My guess is that during those games, either the hosts connection speed isn't fast enough to support more than a couple of gamers or perhaps the gamers connection speeds aren't fast enough. I've seen this happen a few times and if it seems to be a problem with the hosts connection, I just drop out and find a different host.

All I can tell you is that my connection speed is only 1.5/3.0 and I've played this demo for literally 8 hours straight with little to no problems.

I've been looking forward to this game all year for the single player campaign, but now seeing how fun the multiplayer mode is, I don't know if I'll ever really play the single player mode much at this point. Either way, I can't wait til this game comes out next month!

I am playing Call of Duty 3, Gears or War and Rainbow Six Las Vegas.. Vegas is excellent! So is GoW, but Call of Duty 3 is a little lacking compared to the other games. Not bad, but not nearly as good as CoD 2.

I can't wait for new titles already. Finally we are starting to get some great games on the console. Previously I had Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Oblivion. I also had Saints Row, but that got tiring quick.

recently got back into GRAW. Finally finished it and have started messing around in the multiplayer now that the chapter 2 content is down to 600 points.

Based on the demo I figured it was going to be good, but my socks got knocked off! I really liked GRAW, but I think R6 might have it beat. I hope it keeps it up as I progress further into the game.

I swap between GoW, NCAA Football and R6:V

R6 is hands down the favorite right now. I prefer the realism of shooting terrorists and bad guys to aliens. Terrorist Hunt in Co-op is probably my favorite there.....

Made a mistake... bought RB6 yesterday. I can't see me playing anything else for a while. I spent like 3 hours online yesterday... It really fixes my biggest complaint about GRAW... TOO MANY SNIPERS. Also I prefer last man standing rounds and there seem to be more people into that. The experience points is nice, online is a hoot right now.

I've been trying to polish off most of the achievements in Rock Star Table Tennis. The game gets seriously hard on All-Star level. Very frustrating. If only I didn't care so much about achievement points!

I just put in Saints Row again. I keep forgetting how much fun this game is. I hate that it got called a GTA clone and kind of pushed aside for a cheap copy when it came out. It deserves more attention that it really got. It really does the GTA formula right.
It is really well done clone if your going to call it that. ;)

Finally got on the GoW bandwagon thanks to Santa. Wow. This game is a blast. I don't even really like pure action shooters and I can't put it down. I can actually see me playing through the harder difficulty levels which never, ever happens.

Oblivion was a huge bust for me. I think I spent less than an hour with it. Didn't do anything for me. Traded it in for GOW. Good trade!

wow, gow was good, but it took 6 hrs to finish. I got 100 punched on oblivion and still haven't finished it.

it's is an acquired taste being an rpg and all though.

Well, if you gave it "less than an hour"... that's probably why. Go into it 3-4 hours, and before you know it you're in hour 80, it's 5 in the morning and your eyes are bloodshot. It took me a little while to really get into it as well, but once i did... Wow.

Meh... I put about 12 hours in and didn't really feel like I was having fun, so I sold it.

I don't deny it's a interesting and well-made game, but it feels like a very well made PC-style RPG, and those aren't for everyone. Plus, as you said it does feel like it's going to take forever... there's almost too much to do. Personally, I like more focused games -- some say "linear". I don't necessarily want a game to feel linear, but I'm easily distracted and the Elder Scrolls games have way too many things to distract me. :o

Just my $0.02, I'm glad you liked it... a lot of people did.

Possible, but not likely. I am not a fan of RPG's anyway, so I took a chance and lost.
Playing it for less than an hour is not really taking (or giving) a chance.

And no idea on why you would call it one of the worst games you've ever played. It's an RPG. So if you don't like RPGs, that's one thing. But the Elder Scroll series is probably the best of the genre. So if you think it's one of the worst games you've ever played... what's the tech phrase? "It's probably a user issue"?

I've been taking a little break from GoW and started playing Oblivion again. I actually bought the game when it first came out, but never really got into it. I guess I felt pretty overwhelmed with the scope of the game.

I decided to pick it up again and after a couple of hours I was hooked! I really love the journal and it makes it easy to keep track of your quests and helps give you direction. I've joined the Fighters Guild, the Mages Guild and the Dark Brotherhood.

I'm only level 8 and I'm anxious to level up to begin the Daedric quests. I haven't made much progress in the main story yet. I ventured into the first Oblivion gate, but had trouble with some of the Daedric denizens. I also purchased the Wizard's Tower and decked it out. It's a really cool addition.

I downloaded the Mehrune's Razor quest. Is this quest leveled to your character or do you need to wait until you reach a certain level before attempting it?

I'm playing back through GOW with my brother on Insane coop. Lots of fun and the setting we should have done the first time. (finished it coop on casual in two days). Getting better at GOW multiplayer but still get owned on a regular basis. I have RB6-Vegas but I'm just not feeling it yet. It's a bit of a let down after the GOW eye-candy but its' a completely different game and I still like it, just need to put in some more time. I'm referring to the multiplayer mode of RB6. I have only played a few times but so far the hostage defending mode was the most fun for me. I also have COD3 but have only played it 3 times in campaign mode. First impressions for me are that it's not as good as COD2. I still haven't finished that game but I find myself having more fun with it than COD3. That may be a trade shortly if I don't start liking what I see. Hands down two best titles for ME so far have been GOW and Battlefield 2MC. Probably 90% of my gaming time on the 360 have been with these two games.

I downloaded it also. It's kind of hard to say. The thing is, the enemies are all dunmer until you get into the ayleid ruin part of the GIANT fort/cave/ruin. they're part of a group that wants to overthrow cyrodil (you prevent this, go figure) and they have light armor for the most part and its varied. the one thing they all have in common, is a shirt they all wear as a kind of insignia i guess. the shirt provides absolutely 0 armor at all but they have the most health of any creature ive ever tried to kill (except maybe goblins, they have godly health when they get to the high levels) . dunmer don't have any real weaknesses either and are very resistant to fire so dont rush in with an inferno spell to wipe them out.

I went in with 100 blade and light armor skill, Umbra, and my unique decked out glass armor set with custom enchantments. The first thing after you enter the fort is two enemies in your immediate area, if your sneaking as you enter they might not see you at first, but they carry torches (they all do) and will likely find you. Anyway they saw me and instantly started to pummel me. Now I'm level 45, it takes a lot to beat me up but these guys with pretty much just mithril boots and gloves were doing a good job.

for the first time in months i was forced to use a health potion. i only carry them for situations i might not have seen to be so tough, this was one. I soon realized i didn't have enough potions to go Rambo on everyone like my original intention, I was forced to change tactics. Utilizing great use of the Invisible Spell and Summon Deadroth I found my path easier than when i first entered. It took a couple hours because i went slow and was cautious. All in all it was pretty fun, loots good if you don't have such great stuff ( i wasn't too thrilled but I'm sure a lower character would), and i think it was worth the points for download. now the actual dagger, the whole point of the download, isnt quite what i expected it to be, but will definitly come in handy ( i wont say what it does, ive probably spoiled too much).

back to your question at last. I suppose the answer depends. i needed high level spells to get through, my armor, and umbra, all pretty advanced things, much too advanced for a level 8. now i haven't done it on a lower level character but I'm asuming you might get pummeled as well. My sugestions is if you really want to do it now for the rewards, save outside the door to the fort, have some health potions (another thing, potions are expensive, you may not be able to do this until later because you dont have the ability to make lots of money until a higher level for potions) and spend 10- 20 minutes fighting through. if its possible to do, then make you decision to do it or not. if it's too hard for your character return at a higher level. have fun :)

HALO ok so I never picked up the game on the original Xbox since I hated using controllers for FPS. Now I'm over that aversion and am enjoying this game. Plus with the 3rd one due out I figured I better get the story line figured out. Now to get Halo 2 and work my way through that sometime soon. I still miss my mouse and KB now and then. :D

lost planet is really quite fun. if you like pure action shooters, it's quite good. the boss battles are classic, big, multi-stage affairs and the online modes are quite frantic. the graphics are also quite good, especially the smoke and explosion effects.

RB6 is way better than I thought it would be so I have been playing that one the most. LP is good but very frustrating. I have not gotten much into Fear yet and VP is the one I play when I feel lazy.

I've actually thrown Halo 2 back in and have been playing the campaign on legendary. I went back to it because a friend just got live on the original xbox and has been playing.

Games seem to be ended prematurely an aweful lot when I play now.

Oblivion and Practicing for a Madden 07 Tourney with 7 other guys from work. We all pitched in $20 and have prize payouts. Man I'm going to get stomped on this tourney. I don't play Madden enough like some of these guys do, but it should be fun. It will take about 10 weeks or so to complete since we are doing a round robin for seeding for playoffs.

just picked up Project Gotham 3 for $29 (yes I'm a little late to this game) and have been having a blast driving my Saleen Mustang. I suck but I'm having fun, although my TV is in need of a calibration in a major way.

I'm a die hard NHL2k7 player, take a long time to find an online game to play so if you play it add "EightySecond" gamertag and let's get a game going. I don't do any of the cheat goals or exploits, just like to have a good game win or lose. Go Sabres!

Back to PGR3 with an active group over at adultgamingenthusiasts.com who have social racing online and tournaments based on Race Against the Clock. The wireless racing wheel brought me back in. Some of us do handicap racing with a goal of creating exciting finishes. This is terrific fun.

And Oblivion continues to please after 300+ hours. I've added all the latest downloads except the horse armor. Never could get into riding horses much, except the unicorn.

I just got Oblivion back froma friend after lending it to him for thepast few months. I've been playing it all day an just finished the Merunes Razor downloadable quest. It was really good and I would recommend this quest to anyone who has Oblivion. Anyone downloaded Knights of the Nine?
I have started into Knights of the Nine and am enjoying it so far. My character was well advanced (level 24) when I downloaded and the add-on integrated quite seamlessly with the the existing story lines. He had to cleanse his soul somewhat before he could proceed.

Currently playing Lost Planet and Crackdown. I must say that both are a blast but I give a slight edge to Crackdown on single player. Lost planet is awesome for multiplayer. :D I am having so much fun with my 360 that I went and bought a 2nd one as I could not wait the 3 weeks it is going to take to get my original 360 repaired for the 3 blinking light issue.

I've recently been playing:

1. Need for Speed: Most Wanted (360) - Four more rivals to go. Fun game, but the lack of variety in the environments is annoying. Fun game though.

2. Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3) - Good game, but doesn't hold a candle to Gears of War. Half-way finished.

3. God of War (PS2) - I am one of the six people on the planet who didn't purchase a PS2 and have now gotten the chance to play this game on my PS3. All I have to say is WOW! This is one absolutely incredible game! Easily one of the best (if not THE best) action adventure games I have ever played! Glad that God of War 2 is coming out in a few weeks and I hope they are working on a third for the PS3. Absolutely fantastic the whole way through.

Up next:
The Godfather (360), Rainbow Six: Vegas (360), and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistance (PS2).

I FINALLY finished Gears of War on normal, trying to play through the coop campaign as Dom on Live so I can get the achievements as well as play with someone else. People hosting usually quit after I join :confused: :(

Maybe a game or two of NHL2k7 every night or so. I love that game!

I FINALLY finished Gears of War on normal, trying to play through the coop campaign as Dom on Live so I can get the achievements as well as play with someone else. People hosting usually quit after I join :confused: :(

Maybe a game or two of NHL2k7 every night or so. I love that game!

Still trying to finish Marvel Alliance but again I'd much rather play with someone over live but I can't find any games to join or the host quits...

Played both..........but chose FIFA.................more teams, better graphics and it was $29.99 on Amazon with free shipping. :)

anyone playing pro evolution soccer? tried the demo and cant quite decide between that or fifa 07..

I have it. worlds better than fifa imo. fifa's gameplay isn't much more than pressing turbo, and figuring out a few moves that score 90% of the time. If you've played soccer in your life, PES will just "feel" right. Controls will take some adjusting to if you are used to FIFA, but it's worth it.

I've only played it with my 10 year-old, so I can't say that it wouldn't be a lot more fun with other adults locally or via XBL.

Have started GRAW1. Played all the earlier PC versions, so was looking forward to cracking this one open. The Xbox version's a little different (less team control), but it's fun stuff.

Have also started Sonic the Hedgehog again, but the flipped camera view is driving me crazy. You turn left to look right and vice versa, which is completely different than all the other games I've played so far. Weird.

I just got 360 for my bday as well...3 weeks early. My wife decided to surprise me when we were at Best Buy. Yes, I'm spoiled by her. We got the Premium with NFS-MW. I haven't played that yet. I'm a Rainbow Six junkie. I've been playing the XBOX version of RB6: 3 for months so I of course bought Vegas for 360.

I can't believe how awesome this game is. :cool: It makes the last gen games seem so easy and boring. I have it connected to our 40" Samsung in 720p. I'm hooked.

I have RB6 Vegas but just have not been able to get into it. The few times I played I got totally owned in multiplayer. I can't put GOW down long enough to give anything else a chance. Maybe RB6 will get some quality time next week. It does seem like good fun once you know what you are doing.

Switching to Vegas was pretty easy since I've been playing RB6 3 so much. Getting used to the new cover system and the ease at which the enemy hits and kills you took a while. There are so many more options for strategy in this game. The graphics are crazy and its a lot harder to spot tangos. I can't get enough.

I haven't played on Live yet but will try it eventually. Being married and running a fitness center take most of my time.

Borrowing Tomb Raider Legends: Very linear play, so no different than the PC versions. Decent graphics. I'm used to the control you have in FPSs, so the aiming/shooting engine is a bit annoying. A one timer for me.

and in the meantime i finally got back into viva pinata, hadn't paid enough attention to that game, but i feel much better now, another day or two and i'll have all the achievements and i'll be able to trade it off. hopefully i finish before GH2 gets here.

GRAW 2 is amazing, FIFA 2007 is the greatest in the series by far, Marble Madness and Alien Hominid HD can be a fun Live arcade games. Lest we forget the arcade classic Galaga. Not altered in any way from the original, but it's fun to compete on the Live leaderboards.

well TDU has a new hardcore mode which is supposed to offer more realistic cornering and drafting. I haven't tried it yet. I think the Mercedes SLR spins out anough on it's own!

I've been playing Oblivion and R6V. Dipping into TDU sometimes. Those games can last pretty long, if you want.

I have 2 more COD3 levels that I may not ever finish. I haven't tried to get past the tutorial on GeOW and may just trade it. NBA2K7 got boring pretty fast, I don't like the online playing style.

Trading Saints Row. 'twas a mistake purchase.

Tiger Woods can collect dust for months and then always becomes fun again for a brief time.

Playing Crackdown and trying to get all of the acheivements. I have 2 more agility orbs to find and I have been around the entire area multiple times. The ones that I am having problems with is the 100 explosive objects in 60 seconds and wreak havoc...I have completed all parts of wreak havoc except for popping 20 gang members tires in 60seconds. Everytime I seem to find enough vehicles to do this I get killed because lots of gang vehicles means lots of gang members.

I'm also playing GH2. This game is a blast. It's my first time playing this series and I love it. I just finished Easy last night and got 5 stars on every song. I can't even imagine what hard and expert are going to be like.

Graw 2 is also in the mix of games I am playing. I love the game but I found myself more into the first one. I have only playing multiplayer a handful of times. Maybe I will give some more time to that soon.

This game is very arcady, drives kinda like burnout but lacks its flare and the cool crashes. The menu system is pretty cool though. Cars drive very different from PGR3 and TDU...I expect Forza to be impossible after I get used to controlling this game.

I just finished the "Island Race" in TDU. That race is ridiculously LONG. Basically you just zone out for 30-40 minutes. The AI competition was weaker than I expected...it wasn't even a race.
I love that SLR!

Forza2 or PGR4 is my next decision.

And the forza and PGR car lists tempt me way more than GTR. The customization possibilities seem endless. Plus the weather in PGR... I remember how fun the dirt and snow tracks in Gran Turismo were!

In GRAW1, can you individually control other team members as in the older PC versions of GR? Or do they all follow a "team" command only (e.g. move, return, attack, etc)?

Halo 2 is having some issues. Sometimes during gameplay the screen gets a ghosting effect of images. It can happen about 3 times and then I have a very clouded screen. But if I go into certain areas it goes away...if I go back it comes back. Its really weird and annoying. It seems to happen when I zoom in and normally only happens during outside environments. I don't know if this is because of the game, the 360 emulating, or the component connection.

After all the talk about DIRT I pulled out my old Xbox and put in Rallisport Challenge. I then found out that the it's backwards compatible. I have now been playing it on my HDTV and man this game looks good, you could almost mistake it for a 360 game, fantastic gameplay too!

Mainly I'm playing Crackdown and Guitar Hero II. Some GRAW2 and R6 sprinkled in as well. I really need to get more into the multiplayer aspect for both of those (2 buds and myself haven't been able to finish any of the co-op missions in GRAW2...guess we stink...lol.)

Just barely started Oblivion also, after weeks of battling w/ an ebay seller about a return. So far, seems a little more first person-ish than other RPGs I've played (e.g. Baldur's Gate, Diablo). Still debating what style I wanna pursue (spellcaster vs warrior vs archer). For Baldur's Gate, played an archer w/ heal & protect spells, which was a good combo, but will probably try a different combo this time. Only style I don't really care for is thief. Suggestions welcome.

Also renting MLB 2K7. Can't say much yet, except that the ballpark shots are nice and that I suck at it.

Oblivion advice:
Take your time. Don't try to do it all in one day. Don't spend more than 4 hours at a time.
The game will burn you out from it's redundancy, and it is unlimited redundancy.

Make sure whatever you do is FUN. Not a CHORE! There are a vast amounts of quests and exploration. Don't feel you have to finish to meet some deadline.

Also check out online tips, or obtain the guide book so you don't miss out on the fun things to do. The more you know, the more you can take from the game.

This is a great game, but if you overdo it, you can ruin it. You'll just know, when it's time for Oblivion, and when it's not.
