Recently played:

Silent Hill Homecoming - Enjoyed it as a fan of the series, but I'm not sure it'll win new fans the way that Resident Evil 4 did for that series.
Fable II - Disappointed at first, but by the time I finished the main quest and a ton of side quests, I was very pleased with this game. Looking forward to returning to it in the future.

Currently playing:

Fallout 3 - Have about 22 hours invested so far and feel like I've barely scratched the surface. Trying to figure out how to stay immersed without totally pissing off the wife! Fantastic game!!!
Battlefield Bad Company - Downloaded the new Conquest maps and planning to play a bit tonight.

Dead Space - Heard great things and looking forward to trying it out.
Gears of War 2 - Looks phenomenal!

I'm pretty OCD when it comes to games, especially deep RPGs, so I can only imagine I'll get my $60 worth out of Fallout 3 over the next several weeks before I dive into anything new.

Dead Rising, looking forward to getting NHL 09, and I guess some Left4Dead. But I just got the "Zombie Genocider" Achievement and unlocked the megaman buster, so yeah. I beat overtime mode with like 18 hours left, lol. The game is quite good, once you figure out that you can continue playing and NOT do the cases :P Took me awhile to see that "Return to Game" option.

I am mostly on my PS3 for the time being, so I've been playing NHL 09 and Battlefield BC lately. Hopefully will get Motorstorm: Pacific Rift soon.

Just finished Prey, which i picked up for a few bucks. The short but quality gameplay was actually quite a surprise, this game is really worth checking out!

I have Fallout3 and Fable2, but am stubbornly waiting to start playing those until i get my new 40" lcd tv, as both games are a shame to play on a crappy old 28" crt.

I've been playing Saints Row 2 but I just picked up NHL 09 yesterday and I know that will suck me in for awhile.

I am sucked into Star Wars The Force Unleashed. It really makes me feel like I am a Jedi/Sith. My only complaint is the targeting thing can be a pain at times.

I also played the free Doritos game with my nephew. He loved being the dinosaur chasing me around. I thought it was kinda fun too and you can't beat the price.

FYI - I returned GH:World Tour bundle today to Bestbuy because the drums quit working. I was told that eight bundles had been returned over the last few days. It seems that numerous issues have popped up with defective components (drums/mics) but still no recall from Activision as of today. My kids really loved the game due to songs so I just picked up game instead of bundle.

Fallout 3. I spent a year+ on Oblivion (PC). This is Oblivion with guns. Enough here, back to the game...

Just completed Gears 2 co-op again with my brother. I do love the story mode, MP no so much.

Just snapped my friend's 56-game winning streak in an NCAA Football 09 online dynasty with a 58 yd. FG that bounced off the crossbar through the uprights with 7 seconds left in the national championship game.

I also just picked up Oblivion again after not playing it for a few months, so I ran through the Thieves Guild quests and started up on the Dark Brotherhood, which I hear is one of the best parts of the game. Still trying to get into Tom Clancy's EndWar, although the paltry online userbase (that also happens to be extremely unfriendly to a noob like myself) and oversimplified gameplay prevent me from loving it.

I also play Soulcalibur IV, BF:Bad Company, and Fallout 3 from time to time. Hoping to pick up NBA2k9, Left 4 Dead, and Saints Row 2 soon.

Fallout 3...i miss u...curse the rrod! waiting patiently for your return, oh launch day console...sniff, sniff. :(

ps. would it be wrong to swap my console for my 7yo nephews brand new one? he has it hooked to an extra tv at his grandmas house and is using composite cables. it would be a quick change out...just pop the hdd off and unplug all his cables, and plug mine in and put the hdd back on...voila he has what he deserves...and old hand me down twice rrod console to play saints row 2 (seriously his mom&dad let him play it), and i get a brand new jasper with hdmi! woot! :D LOL.. I wouldnt do that. ;)

Almost through Tomb Raider Underworld. I don't know why I like the Tomb Raider games so much, but I'll have completed them all after this weekend.

Then back to Rock Band 2, and will start COD World at War.

Tomb Raider Underworld demo was good bad reviews slammed it. plus not so keen on playing a girl. i just rented Rise of the Argonauts and beat it. pretty good game. too much dialogue

Fallout 3 is the only game for me right now. Played GOW2 for a bit but then Fallout took my free time over. I think I am 44hrs into this one so far. 1st character with good karma and almost lvl 18. Still have a TON of things to see and do though. Looking fwd to playing through as evil to see what happens.

I just got Left 4 Dead the other week which is taking up most of my gaming time, even though I'm still playing Fallout 3 and Condemned 2.

I have been working on the Bourne Conspiracy and I just got Conan from Goozex so I will give that a try this weekend.

I'm hammering away at Saint's Row 2. Stuck on the Ultor cargo ship mission that is part of the Brotherhood portion of the game. Homies keep picking up the rocket launcher from the dead Ultor guards and it's causing all sorts of trouble.

Getting close to the end of Bioshock. Definitely going to replay this one. I am sure there are things that I missed the first time round. Fantastic game.

I was checking out the current xna rpg and then I started listening to Iced Earth and drinking vodka/koolaid type drinks.

Resistance 2 (PS3) and Ninja Gaiden 2. I cannot understand how Resistance 2 got the review scores that it did. Horrible graphics, bland sound, bland storyline, and bland gameplay. anybody still playing splintercell chaos theory, versus mode? Its still fun to play online even though its a pretty old game now.

I'm taking a break from Fallout 3 to finish Bioshock. Still playing COD4. My buddies and I convene on Saturday nights and play Halo 3 via system link.

Well I've mentioned I'm in Italy on business for 6 months, due to come back in July time frame. During the weekends, when it's not raining of course, I go out. During the week nights after work, when no soccer matches are on of course, I play my 360. Latest for me is a throwback. I'm playing through COD2 veteran campaign for achievements. Yes... COD2. I beat the SP on PC maybe 3-4 times and got COD2 free some time ago, so I figured why not? Next up will be COD4 veteran and maybe... FINALLY Fallout3 lol

I am tempted to pick up RE5 and SF4 to be ready for my return. Italy is beautiful but I only get to see it on weekends. I work like a dog and it's night time when I get out. Plus, no LIVE over there cuz my internet connection is horrid

I was able to get up to the very end of COD2 on veteran but could not finish it (couldn't get past the part where you have to hold the fort down from the incoming Nazis). I recently started Mass Effect and am LOVING it.

Back to GOW2 mainly on Horde play. Probably even more with the new Snowblind map pack out Tuesday with a whole set of achievements to boot. Need to get back to L4D as well.

Started to JRPG's I can't even remeber the name of, but haven't played for weeks now.

Just finished Ninja Gaiden II. Without question the worst "big budget" title this generation I've played yet. Horrendous camera, repetitive gameplay, and totally unresponsive controls. I actually had more fun playing Turning Point that this steaming pile of turdmeat!

I am 88 hours into Oblivion and hope to finish that up in the next month or so. I only have the last two stages of the main quest and the entire Dark Brotherhood quest line to go.

Not sure what I am going to attack first.

Just finished Killzone 2 on the PS3. Overall, I enjoyed the game but the controls felt "off". Even after adjusting the sensitivity, everything just seemed to move too slowly. It did have amazing graphics and sound, but had a rather forgettable storyline. Just didn't have the same "impact" for me as Call of Duty or Halo. I'm considering trading it in and sticking with COD:WAW for multiplayer over the summer. Hmmmmm.......

Up next: Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Fallout 3 (which I can't wait to get in to!).

Roughly how long is the main campaign for Fallout 3? Mass Effect seemed to fly by for me and it only took about 25 hours (and I did all possible quests, including "Bring Down the Sky"). I know that Fallout is supposed to be longer, but I don't know how much longer. Thoughts?

In doing a good bit of the side quests, and some random exploring... I was at about 40 hours when I beat the game earlier tonight. You could easily complete just the main storyline itself in 20 hours or less I would assume.

But, in just blazing through the main quests you would miss so much of what makes Fallout kick ass.

Good to know. I don't anticipate flying through the campaign but also cannot invest 100+ hours in a single offline game (just don't have that kind of time anymore). To me, GTA4 seemed like the perfect amount of gameplay length (it took me about 45 hours to finish it). Fallout 3 sounds perfect, and if I like it (which I imagine I will), I plan to download the five DLC packs as well. This will be a fun game for the summer.

I haven't had the $60 to drop for MW2 yet (just spent all my money on a receiver upgrade), but I've been playing Dead Space. I found it at Target a week or so ago for $14. Awesome game. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it.

My feelings are mixed. It's pretty and controls OK...but it's not as compelling as I'd expected. I don't like the map navigation, for example. Part of that may not be the game's fault...it came out at the same time as a bunch of other releases and was kind of overshadowed by them.

Honestly, I'm glad it came out for the Wii, but I'm thinking that maybe my desire for this kind of game has just diminished over time.

I finally finished Dead Space last night. This is by far the best game I've played in a long time. I can't believe I waited so long to finally get it (but then I only payed $14 for it brand new at Target). Anyway, I love the atmosphere and the game play was great from start to finish. I highly recommend this game.

Here are the specifics:


1. Round up all of your friends and hop online with Halo 3 or ODST any time next from 00:01AM PST Wednesday, 1/20, through 23:59PM PST Thursday 1/21.

2. Edit your appearance settings so your character is wearing the RED HEART emblem.


a. Press START
b. Select “SETTINGS” / “APPEARANCE”
c. Select “EMBLEM”
d. Select “Hearts” ICON, “Circle” BACKGROUND
e. Back out to the APPEARANCES menu and select “COLORS”
f. Set “EMBLEM PRIMARY” to RED (or MAROON / BRICK / ROSE depending on which game you’re playing!)
g. Set “EMBLEM SECONDARY” to WHITE


3. Once your emblem is set, play! This can be a custom game or a matchmaking game, just make sure it’s played online, on Xbox LIVE, or we can’t track it.

If you keep playing more games through midnight on Thursday, KEEP THE HEART EMBLEM ENABLED or you may not get counted.

COD: MW2 95% of the time. I was at work today and heard a helicopter outside and the first thing I though was I needed to switch to a javelin so I could shoot it down. Made me laugh a bit.

Finally put down Borderlands for a while. Been playing a lot of Castle Crashers with my son.

Finally turned to some of the games I got with a PS3 for Xmas. Uncharted is first.

Having a hard time resisting the urge to pick up Mass Effect 2 though.

Well my brother picked up Dark Void for me at launch for my bday. Even though my bday wasn't until yesterday. So I have been playing that. It is fun and a little buggy at times but still fun. I would say a rental or bargin bin.

Still playing MW2 which is always a good time.

Also played some Army of Two: The 40th Day...Great game. I like what they did gameplay wise. My only gripe is that my boys were funnier in the first one.

I recently picked up Fallout 3 which will come after MW2. I also recently upgraded to an Elite console and it came with Lego Batman and Pure. I'm not so sure about Pure, but I'll give Lego Batman a shot.

I just finished Mass Effect 2, though I'm going to play the very end again to try to keep everyone on my team alive (I lost one person).

I picked up Divinity II: Ego Draconis used yesterday and plan to play the crap out of that. I love open world Western-style RPGs and even really loved Two Worlds (once it was patched a few times). Looks like they've patched Divinity II now so that it has a pretty smooth frame rate. I played about two hours of it last night and am enjoying it.

After that I'll rent Bioshock 2 and crank through that.

Right now it's Mass Effect 2 all the way.

Also playing Capcom vs. Tatsunoko on the Wii and I'll prolly play through the DLC for Assassin's Creed 2 this weekend.

Picked up Mirror's Edge on the cheap....and after playing a while, that may be it.

I'm not so sure about Pure, but I'll give Lego Batman a shot.
it's honestly one of the best racing games you'll ever play, too bad it just never caught on, kinda like GRID...

I just finished AC2 a couple days ago. Took me about 25 hours to finish it, but I'm a feather and treasure hunter.

Right now I'm bouncing back and forth between four games.

Single Player - Uncharted 2 and Fallout 3.

Multiplayer - Borderlands and Saints Row 2.

For backlog purposes : Brutal Legend, Magic the Gathering, Fallout 3 (Zeta)

Infinitely playing : Rock Band 2, Modern Warfare 2

Next up : Mass Effect 2 (forced itself into my backlog), Left 4 Dead 2

Skate 2. I picked it up last year, grimaced when I saw the price drop to $20 (I paid twice that), and opened up the shrinkwrap. But really once I played I kind of forgot about it since the game is amazing. I haven't had this much fun with a skateboard game since... ever? Not even THPS2. I figure based on my skills I'll probably be wrapping it up around the time Skate 3 comes out.

Anyone still own or play this? There's a lot of freeskate challenges out there.

Right now the kids and I are playing Lego Indiana Jones 2. I want to finish this and then get back to MW2.

Finished Mass Effect 2 3 times and Bayonetta twice. Currently back to ME 1 for another character to import to ME 2 and also playing Deadly Premonition.

I just finished up Risen. It was better than expected. Very flawed technically, but a nice deep Western sandbox RPG. Now I'm playing Battlefield Bad Company 2, both single player (best Battlefield single player by far) and online, and I picked up God of War III yesterday.

I'm suffering through FF XIII but I just got Resonance of Fate so have an actual decent RPG to play. I've also got ME 2 set up for playthroughs 4 & 5 when the new character comes. As well as continuning Deadly Premonition,PES 2010 and MLB 2K10 and turning on the music games when there's anything new I want.

Only Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2 on the 360. Playing a Boat Load of new games on teh PS3 though.

I just finished up Mass effect 2, great game. I can't wait for the dlc. I just started playing Metro 2033, I'm enjoying it so far. I also got sucked back into Modern warfare 2 b/c of the new maps. I'm a little rusty, been getting my a$$ handed to me. I won't even tell you about my back log.


Ok so I lied here's the back log: resident evil 5,Fallout 3, uncharted 2, resistance fall of man 2, Infamous, rainbow six vegas 2, Mirrors edge, Battlefield, No more hero's, zelda twilight princes, Dead space (wii).... Man why do I have games on preorder, I have like 2 years of games to play. THis doesn't even include pc games. But I haven't bought apc game in a few years now. Gotta stop writing and get cracking on this to do list.

Half-way through Assassin's Creed 2 and absolutely loving it :) After that comes (in no order) Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Uncharted 2, and inFamous....

I'm still playing Left 4 Dead 2 several times per week. Versus mode with friends never seems to get old. I also still occasionally play L4D1.

We also recently started replaying Fallout 3. Probably my favorite game of all time. Can't wait for New Vegas.

MW2 got very repetitive and I haven't played it in weeks. It's a great game, though.

Just finished up Ghostbusters (not a bad game, actually) and about 2/3 of Brutal Legend (I'm not an RTS guy, so the big battles started to wear on me). I got both of those from the Microsoft 40% off fire sale a bit back for $12 each, so both were very much worth the investment.

Traded those in and picked up Super Mario Galaxy 2 and 3D Dot Game Heroes...kind of an old school Nintendo(-alike) fest. Still playing Borderlands DLC and Bad Company 2 online with a friend, too.

Modern Warfare II... excellent way to get some stress out of the system after a long day at work. 2 thumbs up!

Suck may be harsh but definitely didn't live up to the hype.

Yeah heavy rain is a ps3 exclusive. It's along thee same vein as alan wake's suspense genre.

Well to elaborate why i thought Alan wake sucked:

- Graphics were quite ugly. Aliasing of textures all throughout the game. Main character models moved stiffly and their mouths did not follow what they were saying.

- The bird attacks were ridiculous and got quite frustrating.

- I did not enjoy blasting my flashlight at poltergeist steel barrels, giant tires, and plywood.....pretty lame

- What's the point of collecting all those coffee jugs?

- *** SPOILER *** I can't believe the 'clicker' that was given by Wake's mother saved him from the darkness.....WOW

Alan Wake - Why this game got such high review scores is beyond me.

i jumped on at 4:30 pacific... noone was playing!

i jumped into the lobby, fired off a bazillion invites, waited about 5 minutes, noone!
i jumped into one game then el dudereno jumped in but i had to leave for a hot minute.
came back and six inch was on. jumped into his game (it was towards the end) then we partied up, played one game, then el dudereno jumps in with us. it stayed that way throught the night. the night being only about 5-7 games, but they were good. we were all a bit rusty, but we just gotta keep at it and we'll get our cool back!

ima be busy with my reach crossfire map the next 2 days max, but i strongly support a mw2 or haloz weekend.

Mass Effect 2. Just recently finished ME1, ME2 is great! Don't like the combat as much, though.

I'm also an achievement whore, so couldn't move onto ME2 until I 1200 ME1 :)

Has anyone noticed in marvel vs capcom 3, during the final boss, if you die there is an all gray screen after he smashes the earth where the continue count down happens. I see a small faint crack down the whole center of the screen. It is also there any other time there is a continue countdown but it is more noticeable if you die at the boss bc of the all gray.

I am pretty sure it is in the game bc I can see it appear and disappear during normal continues. Plus if I put in gray slides I don't see it. But my paranoia wants to be sure my screen isn't cracked.

Can anyone verify this?

I'm currently playing (rather, attempting to play) Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. After the masterpiece of AC2, I was quite hopeful that this would be fun. I paid $15.00 for it at Best Buy and still feel like I was overcharged. Can someone please explain to me how this game is supposed to be a worthy sequel or even somewhat fun? Horrendous controls, boring missions, a lack of assassinations in an, umm.... assassination game, etc. This is easily one of the most disappointing games I've played yet on the 360. I was planning to pick up "Revelations" this fall but have changed my mind. Even if it were cheap like this one I have no faith that it would turn out well. This game is awful!

Sorry, you're not enjoying it. Personally I thought the story was tight and the gameplay on a part with AC2...and the multiplayer was surprisingly good. Most people enjoyed it, but I guess it's not to your taste.

I finished it two nights ago. Don't know why, but I LOVED AC2 but just didn't like Brotherhood at all. I loved in the first two you had this huge build up to the assassination and, eventually, whammo! you get your target. This one was just too boring for me with too many you vs. 20 guys fights. Ah well, looking forward to Uncharted 3 :)

Skyrim is the only game I've played since it came out. I was hoping to play through Mass Effect 1 and 2 before the last one comes out next year but unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen.
