After working things out with kweezr on the next installment, I thought I'd go George Lucas and revisit my previous works, DVD09 and DVD10, to sort out the troubles I've had with those two discs, and hope to remedy the errors.

I believe I succeded. By end of this week, kweezr should be reviewing the DVD09 and DVD10 version 2.0 as well as DVD16. Now, all three dvds share a similar menu structure and overall look. The tracks are easier to access and all are believed to be rid of the persistent "pausitis" that many may have experienced on tracks such as the SW:Sith track or 13 days easter egg track. I have also removed certain tracks as well and replaced them with what I originally wanted in each grouping. Also, I have changed some easter egg tracks to main tracks while hiding all new easter eggs. Finally, Star Trek 1st Contact is in Dolby DIGITAL, not prologic as before!

DVD16 is even more extreme. Five unique groupings, each contain 5 tracks of similarity in nature. There are also two easter egg sub groups, with each group containing 3 tracks apiece.

Again, all tracks are in Dolby Digital ONLY- no dts. Many of the tracks selected are for mature viewers- ie graphic violence and/or profanity. They are meant to be played loud and at full reference. Anyways, have fun with them (starting with you, keith)!

Swithey does not yet have the 2.0 versions. Kweezr is still finishing off beta testing but everything looks promising so Steve will probably get them, along with the #16, by end of next week.

Swithey will have kweezr's 11-15 + 9 & 10 v2.0, and #16 before April

OK, I have read this entire thread. I am also now getting the DTS demo 9 via torrent from this link. I thought you said that it was only in DD? And the description does not look like the contents mentioned earlier in the thread. Where is the demo 10? Are they available yet via torrent? I have seen numerous ask for it, but have not seen a direct answer in this thread. I tried not adding another useless post to this thread, but the info is not contained herein. Thanks for the help.

From what I can tell, DTS #10 is not on Torrent as of yet. I only have the FTP site with everything BUT the DTS discs.

v2.0 of 9 and 10 and 16 have been shipped. Everything looks fine except for a quirk in dvd 10 menu. If you arrow down you'll notice Wargames doesn't highlight, it does but you have to arrow up from the menu below it. I didn't have this problem on the beta discs (which I altered because of the menu design was getting cut off by the screen) so its just wierd.

Kweezr had some issues with the Play All feature but to be honest, I think that feature was kinda buggy to begin with. But it's there in the event you just want to watch all of the clips.

If anyone whose destined for the set notices a problem, please pm me so I can remedy the program.

Great thread guys. Not sure who is doing the DVD label graphics, but unless you have permission from the author(s) you might want to be careful using all the Deviant Art artwork for D1 - 9. If you are the one creating them, cool - I've always liked those fractal abstracts. Just my 2cents.

Buff, I dont know if there is a step-by-step, but you can use many programs to do this. I work in the multimedia field so if I was going to I would use Premiere, AfterEffects and then Encore DVD. You can rip the movies with DVD Decrypter... if you can still find a copy. ;) If you need interface graphics help, let me know - I am sure I could help - as I pretty much do it all day long anyways.

Has anyone tried 17 or 18 on a Toshiba HD-DVD A1? I've burned both and get stuttering ever few secs. After a long load time on a Dell, they play ok so it is not the download itself. I've tried a DVD+R and -R on the Toshiba but neither solves the problem (DVD-R/RW is officially supported).

They look awesome upconverted but not watchable given hesitation ever few secs. I'll go back and try some of the old disks. My "regular" DVD player that I was playing other disks is not available to try at the moment. Just wondering if this is a software issue, or more likely, a Toshiba specific issue.

I was not aware that there were ANY 7.1 disks. The EX and ES disks are encoded for 6.1. Am I incorrect on this? :confused:

You are correct. All DD EX and DTS ES discs are encoded in 6.1 Matrix (although there are some 6.1 Discrete ES discs!). I believe we will see 7.1 on HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs in the future.

In case you didn't see in the other thread re: torrents (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=730438), we're trying to get these going using BitxxTorrent (ISO files, which you can download and burn to DVD). Check post #20 for the list that are available as torrents so far. Of course you'll need a BitxxTorrent client and a DVD burner to make use of them (and a high speed internet connection, and a machine that you can leave on for as long as it takes to get the files down - these are big - 2-4 GB - files). The more people that join the "swarm", the faster they should go for all.

Just download a few last wk. Thank you for all the hard work. I had some problems and only am able to play 1/2 of the DVD. It is probably due to the settings I have with my theatertek. I have not figure it out yet

I think you went on to copy and mail them, but I live in Germany, so if it would be possible to download from a server somewhere that would be really great.

Is there a server currently running with all the ISOs?

Just watched the D6-DTS Demo (is it me or is it not possible to jump tracks and there is no menu to select tracks?).

And what did I see: Godsmack! Awesome!

I actually saw that live! They played as an opening act for Metallica and they performed that exact Drum Duell. Amazing! Loved it and probably the best single performance of any band I have ever seen live!

What DVD is this on and is it part of the concert or is it just a bonus track? I need to buy that DVD :eek:

I put this together using dvdshrink, and it should be able to skip forward or back.
At least it does on my player. Menus can not be made for dts tracks as it causes
audio sync issues.

The Godsmack track is off Changes, a concert disc.

Thanks for the info. Doesn't seem to work with my player. I cannot skip tracks and I do have audio sync problems.

IS there actually a music demo dvd? Or was that just an idea and hasn't been "produced" yet? Your discs are a real treat by the way :) :)

I've finally been able to download some of these. Thank for the effort guys. Unfortunatley, the compression on the LOTR disk made it unwatchable. :(

Are all of these demo disks so highly compressed? Any comments on which disks are not compressed at all?

The concept from the beginning for all the Demo DVDs was to leave them in their native state. You will probably need to ping cobbpa as to why he used compression on the LOTRs DVD. I do know this was his first authored DVD, so he might not have realized that DVDShrink "shrunk" them. You should be VERY safe with the rest of the DVDs in the mix :)

There is no music demo dvd as it was considered but pretty much shot down due to the scare of litigation. However, some of the demo dvds do contain music tracks from movies. check switheys list for details

Hint: check my demos ;-)

Shame really because I find the music tracks the most impressive. Some of the LFE tracks were OK but somehow nothing makes a system shine the way a good concert does.

But at a total of 98GB I do not think I will be able to download all Demo discs to make my own :(

But great work nevertheless. Maybe one day there will be a music demo disc. Until then I will have to try and find a good deal on the Godsmack DVD. I want the NTSC version and not the european PAL.
