BruZZi, to exit the service menu on the Prima HT2778P with the Menu8888 code, you just push Menu to exit a sub service menu, and when your at the main service menu, pushing menu again will exit and save.. all settings are done live, and quickly..

May I have the codes or any possible ideas or methods to get into the SHARP 27SF560 Service Menu? I REALLY want to turn off the SVM.

I have tried the hold the volume + and channel - (maybe other way around, but I did it the correct way, just don't remember which one it is now), with the TV unplugged and then plugged it back in with the buttons held and nothing happened. Could I get more detailed instructions on this if I'm doing it incorrectly or not understanding? Could be entirely different method of getting in it too for that matter.

Anyone know how to bring up the service menu for a Pioneer 5070? I have tried all three ways that are listed Bruzzi's link for the Pioneer and none worked after several attempts of each. The only info I can get is a grey box in the center of the screen with a few lines of data, most of which are non-intuitive. I hold down the display button for about 10 seconds and the box pops up, then if I let go for a second then hold down again, anothe set of data fills the next few lines in the grey box.

Spoke with Pioneer tech support and they told me to hit the Home Menu button with the tv on Standby mode, then immediately hit the power. It brings up the Integrator menu, but this does not seem to be the main service menu because you can't bring up any system info like hours of runtime, etc....

ALERT !!! For anyone who may not already be aware of this. I spoke with a Product Support Manager at Pioneer today and he confirmed that if any plasma is returned under warranty period, and they find that the Service Menu has been opened by anyone other than an authorized tech, the warrantly is void.

I don't know about the specifics, but I assume they could play hardball if they wanted to, and uphold that policy. I know most people on here know these types of things, but just thought I would throw that out in case some people are deciding whether or not to mess with the service menu settings and were not aware.

ARWE = The integrator menu simply has a few settings for items such as the orbitor (Rotates the screen one pixel clockwise each time unit is powered on), SR (If you want to link a Pioneer AV receiver to the tv and display settings like volume, balance, etc...), and one other thing. It is NOT the service menu though.

Vim, I think the information you want is in the main access code list under Toshiba. Look at the very first post in this thread, if you haven't already. My Toshiba isn't there, but it's a TV/DVD/VCR combo. Yours ought to be covered.

I haven't gotten to this yet. I plan to do basic calibration with SpyderTV later next week. When I find time for advanced grayscale calibration, I'll be looking into this. I hope to make an update by end of next week.

For the ViewSonic N3251W you need to be in the service menu and then you press

100/- 9 9 1 and the "service" menu will come up. To exit menu press menu. The menu will remain active until you power down the set. (each time you press menu you will be back in the service menu)

I apologize to everyone, but I never found the bandwidth to look into this. I did some basic calibration with SpyderTV and the GetGray disk and that's it. I have no bandwidth anymore to look into service menu unfortunately, and I'm quite happy with the level of calibration I've achieved for now.

Check the thread in the lcd display forum and do a search in there. It's 150+ pages but a search should narrow it down to a few.
If I remember correctly... hold the input and volume - buttons at the same time with the power off and while holding them, turn the power on. You have to be feeding the monitor a signal (i.e. the DVD player has to be on, or the STB has to be on). This will start the westinghouse logo flashing and you should be able to adjust your menu settings there. Once you are done, enter the regular user menu and do a full reset.
This is from memory, so I highly suggest that you go to the thread for the full instructions

Once the menu is up, the up and down arrow keys will move the cursor up and down.. the right arrow selects an item from the main screen.. from the second-screen, where the values are, using left and right change values...

to go back to the main screen, you push Menu.. to exit, you push Menu again..

here's the stupid part.. when on Component video, you have geometry settings there.. what you do there affects only component.. Now if you are on any of the NTSC inputs (Svideo, TV, composite), any settings there will DIRECTLY affect the Component.. (so word of advice, calibrate the NTSC ones first, THEN move onto the Component)..

Also, in Component, EACH resolution has it's own white balance... and 480i, 480p, 720p, and 576p, and 576i all share the same geometry settings.. 1080i has it's own...

i found the code

Service Menu is entered by pressing 9, 3, 0, 1 keys on the remote controller when the Picture icon is
highlighted in the Main Menu.
Service Menu has 3 sub-menus. These are:
• Options
• Adjustments
• Selections.
Navigation through these menus can be done by pressing OK button. Every adjustment made in this
menu is saved automatically.

But first try the alternate code (top) I posted yesterday for the Vizio.I tried the new code but, wasn't able to get in. I was able to enter a Factory Mode menu by depressing "Channel +" and "Channel -" simultaneously. This brought up the following options:

1) Burning Mode
2) Factory Reset
3) NVRAM Reset
4) EDID Write Pro
5) Password Reset

Seems like that's what I'm looking for but, I wasn't able to access any of the options. I can scroll through 'em, just can't figure out how to select an item for more info.

There's an LG rep in a different forum I've been visiting but, I'm not sure how anxious he'd be to help with identifying such a distant relative :D Any thoughts on that or in finding a service manual on this puppy? Many thanks for the help so far!

Sylvania was owned by Philips. Try one of the Philips/Magnavox codes.

LG 26LC2R, tried the code to get into the service menu but it seems very limited, I wanted to do this to change the overscan. However when I do change the overscan even though it says it is set at 1% it's still actually set at 7%.
If I just hold the menu button on the remote I get a 4 digit password request, anyone know what this password is?

Some manufacturers use many different codes for their TV types/models. Or maybe your TV is made by a different Brand.

I'd also like to have a copy of the TH-50PH8UK service manual. I have a copy of the 4UY service manual, which worked great for our 5UZ, but I haven't checked to see if it is at all applicable to our 50PH9UK. I assume that the 8UK manual will work for the 9UK.

I used the codes for the Philips TVS and I seen a bunch of weird letters and numbers but couldn't do anything. So I switched to my otehr Philips tv and tried it on there and it had the same weird numbers and letter but it had a menu underneath I could mess around in.

So why didn't my HDTV have the same menu, but just the weird numbers and letters? Was it "locked" out of it or something?

Ok we have the european Acer AT2720 with FW: HV9E_CMO27_V1.004 OP28_01_41 B.

Correctly, the Acer AT3705 service menu code does not work.

But here something, that works.

For display the Firmware Version

1. Select Scart1
2. Press '2-3-4-Menu'
3. In the left lower corner you get in blue the Firmware Version

Please post your Acer model and your Firmware Version.

Now the questions.

Yes all HDMI ports included HDCP in every case in every device.

Devices coming from Acer too.

This told all german leaded technical user.

In the case of DVI you must ask the company that designed this device port.

But the european Acer ATxx20 devices has no DVI.

I have tried a Prima code (Menu 8+8+8+8), no good.

I cant try the listed polaroid code, as it involves {SLP}, {MUTE}, {AV}, {MENU}. there is no AV on my remotte (as someone stated in an older post)

I need to adjust the color level and tint on this Monitor for my component and DVI inputs. The standard user menu doesnt allow for that :(

I have the same model that's doing the same thing. I've been wondering if it might not be the signal coming from my cable company. I live in Longview, TX. Where are you?

I saw someone say:
Do you use a cable or satellite STB? If so, check your menus and check the output. It could be set to output 720p. If so, then the STB is deinterlacing and downscaling all 1080i signals to 720p prior to inputing the signal to your set. You could change the output to 1080i and then your set would have to deinterlace and scale.
but that's not possible with the set top box I have: the Motorola DCT6400. It seems the unit is capable of doing many things more than I'm afforded by my cable company.

Another problem I have is with the picture quality on many SD channels. On most there is a very annoying motion artifact. When there is movement, the darker areas of the image lag behind the brighter areas. It's as if the image has been seperated into 4 or 5 different screens that move idendently of each other. It's most annoying on faces. I know this sounds like ghosting, but it's something different. How bad it is seems to be related to the signal quality. I think this might also be my cable company's fault.

I followed the links to Bruzzi's Forum with the Service Menu codes. The process for SHARP LCDs is rather simple. However, it doesn't work for my LC37D90U. I follow the instructions but I never see the little "k" in brackets.

Has anyone been successful with the SHARP instructions?

I was able to use the colored buttons to navigate through the options, but could not see how to get into the CAT menu like I can on my 42" Viera plasma to change the overscan settings...!

I tried the codes on your site for the Mitsubishi's. The 37131 doesn't seem to go into a service menu with any of those. I bought a service manual, and that gives instructions for getting into the options menu, but not the service menu.

ACER AT2720 Euro

1) connect a source to any input ( scart, hdmi, dvi, pc , av3 ecc.) and turn on that isource
2) turn on the tv and select that input
3) Press POWER, channel UP and volume DOWN on the TV simultaneously for 3 seconds, a red screen flashes.
4) press menu to access the factory video mode related to the input you chose.

I could find only these menus so far , anyone could find an "aspect menu" similar to that present in 3705?

Need to adjust picture width in 16:9 aspect. Found Bruzzi's list of codes, tried the ones given for Polaroid, (SLP,MUTE,AV,MENU) but no luck. My remote does not have SLP or AV buttons. Does anyone have any ideas please.

Bought this tv in Switzerland last October, bowled over by low power consumption (use in RV) and brilliant picture quality. I have got a problem with a Panasonic Th-42 PX600U plama. I am using a cable card so the co-ax isconnected directly to the TV. Sporatically on HD channels mostly but digital also go to a blue diaglog screen "channel not available". It typically lasts for a couple of seconds. Not long enough to check the FAT number. Insight has been out several times saying the signal is fine. They have redone everything from the pole. Panasonic has been out twice and replaced the module. The 2nd module was bad from the factory. Still have the same condition post both fixes. I have taken the cable card out trying to isolate the problem. It still does it but not as often. I have 1.76 firmware and intend on getting 1.78 tommorrow.

Occasionally when touching the co-ax connection I can replicate the occurance.

Any idea from anyone.

BruZZi's site has service menu access instructions for the pz700u, but not factory reset. I tried the reset instructions for the pz600u, and it does cycle through the self-check mode, but unlike the the pz600u disconnecting the AC plug from the wall outlet does not reset the panel. Anyone know how to do this?

If you do this trick on channels witout signal, you get a menu with voices such as vert and horiz offset, digital adjust, evaluation... instead of the color regolation scheme. But "under" the menu window channels changes quickly so you dont have time to change settings and to exactly understand on wich channel you are (with channels i mean tv,av, scart, etc).

Have you managed to use that menu??

Akai TVs are usually rebadged Sansung. Since that code listed (Same for Samsung) isn't working, try the codes for other Brands.

Anyone have codes for newer LG plasmas, specifically a 60PC1D? The codes on Bruzzi's aren't working for me.

I tried the reset instructions for the pz600u, and it does cycle through the self-check mode, but unlike the the pz600u disconnecting the AC plug from the wall outlet does not reset the panel. Anyone know how to do this?
I'm trying buy any of the service manuals for the new Panasonic Models to get that info. but they are not available yet.

I posted a few days ago regarding my desire to gain the access to the service menu on my pio PDP5060HD to reset. I have not heard back from Bruzzi, is that common for the responses to take a few days? Is there a step in this proccess that I have for missed? Thank you

I have a Pioneer 5060HD and I need to gain access to the service menu. I have tried all of the possibilities for the pioneer plasma on bruzziforum. I took the cover off my media receiver and powered it back on with the cover off.
The second code posted is the correct way for your Pioneer 5060HD. Problem is, it's a little tricky to get the perfect timing to access the service Menu. Try few more times (pressing the buttons faster) to see if you can get it on. If not, try asking D-Nice or other Pioneer owners hints to be able to access the SM.

Need the service menu code for Element FLX-2210. I seriously need to fix the picture so it isn't so vertically stretched, but there's no service menu code anywhere on the Net.

Edit: Polaroid codes won't work, since there are no SLP or AV buttons on the remote.

With the Wii, GameCube and PS2 even "true widescreen" games leave some serious underscan (about 1.5 inches on each side of the screen). Is there something in the service menu where I can overscan while playing those games? If so, could somebody tell me how?

Also, how risky is uneven aging playing these games with underscan on my plasma? Thanks!

Okay, based on memory (this is my third Panny), I got into my service menu. But where are the h-width and v-width options? All I need is to up the h-width by a bit. This was easy on the last Panny I owned. There has to be a way this can be done, doesn't there?
