As far as I know, the service menu instructions for Pioneer plasmas (mine is a 5040) is actually the "Integrator" menu. I was told by a calibrator in my area that there's a real service menu also. The integrator menu has some useful adjustments that I figured out, but many are inactive, or I just don't know what they're for or how to use them.

Does anyone have instructions for the integrator menu functions?

I'd also like any info on the "real" service menu, if it really exists!

I am trying to enter the service menu on a Sony KLV-S23A10 LCD display, but it is not responding to the usual Sony code. I tried the code for LCOS/SXRD, but that didn't work either. I have entered the service mode on many a Sony set, so I am not sure what is happening here.

I'd like the codes for the Sony Bravia 32XBR1. I want to tweak the VGA port image and some other things.

So... I have the code for my Samsung HP-R5052 and can get in to the service menu. But my problem is I don't know what the hell any of the settings mean. I know it is not a good idea to mess around. My only concerns are either disabling or reducing the effects of DNEi and correcting overscan. My overall goal is to improve SD quality.

Hello all. I am a noob and this is my first post. Be gentle with me *grin*

Anyway I have an Optoma H30 and my Regular TV and HDTV images are ever so slightly blurred. Its very slight but it bugs me and I would like to fine tune the focus. Obviously the manual focus and sharpness adjustments in the menu didnt resolve the problem or I wouldnt be posting here :)

Does anyone have the service menu code for the Optoma H30. I have spent a bit of time searching for threads on it and googling for it without success. I would appreciate it if someone could get me that info.

Oh and I have the projector ceiling mounted approximately 8.5 feet from my screen creating a 65 inch diagonal image.

Update: Damn, I seem to be getting back into my old habit of answering my own questions... :o

After some more searching here on the AVS forums I found the answer in another thread ("My new Dell W5001C" -- sorry... can't link to it, yet... I'm too new here):

On the remote, hit the Input button, then 6, 1, 9. Input Select -> Show Inputs needs to be set to All for this to work. If it is set to Active, it doesn't work.

I just verified the sequence on my W4201C. The other thread stated that the same sequence works for the older Dell W4200HD, and the W5001C, too.

Looks like no one can stop you from adding a Dell section to your excellent list now, BruZZi! :D

Anybody know what the default values in the service menu are for the Panasonic CT34WX54 are? I made some changes but I accidentally deleted the txt file that I wrote everything down in. I was trying to adjust some geometry settings and I'd like to set it back to factory default.

Alternatively, is there a way to reset the values to the factory settings? This would be the easiest approach for me.

Did you guys try the codes available for the Pioneer ??? If they don't work, try the codes for NEC. Pioneer acquired NEC Plasma Business not too long ago. Some 42" & 61" Pio Plasmas are actually rebadged NECs. It might work. ;)

I've tried asking many places especialized on Service Manuals but unfortunately none of them carry the Vizio (or Optoma - Maxent) Brand. :(

Could someone PM me the procedure to access the service menu for the Mitsubishi WD-73827. I've found many service code references for Mitsubishi products on the web, but none of them seem to work.

I couldnt find it anywhere and I emailed Optoma Tech support to see if they would send the service menu code to me but after describing my problem of the slightly out of focus situation they said to RMA it and they will service it. As I write this it is in their possession getting serviced. So I have to give Optoma kudos for their warranty work.

can someone PM me the service code for a mitsubishi 52628? This is my second set (first one had a flaw in the screen itself, this one the upper keystone setting is too narrow) and instead of exchanging it yet again...I'd like to just fix the keystone adjustment.

If there's a guide to the service menu, I could use that also.

If it's a service remote, we should be able to get in with a properly programmed universal remote (ie pc programmable, such as a JP1 remote. )

I am the proud owner of a Mitsu WD-52525 and I would like to access the service menu and make corrections to my Overscan issues.

Can you please PM me the procedure? I do not wish to tamper with anything else, just the overscan. I think I'm at about 5-7% on the sides and a lil less on the top.

Looking for service menu access codes for the Akai PDP5006H 50" plasma. The Akai codes on BruZZi's site do not work for this model. This unit has an RS-232 port, which the manual says is for connecting to a PC, but doesn't say for what purpose, or what kind of cable is required. Maybe the service menu is accessed via PC? Any pointers on how to get a service manual would be much appreciated.

Reds are too pink, and yellows are a little too green, but I can't get rid of these issues from the user menus.

I am currently using an Insignia Model IS-TV040927 HDTV as a monitor in an arcade cabinet. I need to be able to adjust the overscan settings on this unit and the manufacturer warranty is not a concern for me.

I've found several posts on accessing the 'service mode' via hidden buttons inside the remote. The problem is that I purchased this unit from Best Buy as an open item...so no remote for me.

I've tried ordering a new remote through Best Buy's Part Search site...however the item has been on backorder for quite some time.

SO...my question for everyone is: Is there any other way to access service mode on these units, from inside the case? Or can I program one of my universal remotes to transmit the code(s) necessary to activate 'service mode?' I have both the Phillips Pronto Pro and the Microsoft/Harmon Kardon T1000 remotes available to me.

ANY assistance and/or direction provided would be GREATLY appreciated.

There's a way to access the service menu by open the remote control and pushing a hidden button. But I'm not sure if that applies for the Insignia Plasmas TVs. The info is now available on my site. :)

Found the post but taking the remote apart is not going to work.

Looking for the service menu of the P42HDTV10A model. There is also a telephone type connection (RJ-45) labeled "Service" and I expect it to be a serial connection. This being a very new TV I don't know if anyone has tried to access the TV through this connection.

Update: I've been told by an online reviewer of the P50 that the code on the P50 thread is not the correct one for calibration...so us P50 owners are still looking for the right code :(

Panny Plasma TH-42PD50U... I need help to cut overscan by as much as I can.

I'm having trouble selecting an adjustment category. The 'tip from jgrossi' on keohi says that I should press an ACCESS button on the remote, together with CU or CD. But, my remote has no such button... and, if I press CU or CD, even holding any of several buttons I guessed at, it only switches the TV from Component-1 to CATV, and literally tries to change the channel (CATV isn't even connected).
So, I'm stuck adjusting only the number below the 'Gain' Item, original setting 200. (Lowering this number slightly, to 1F0, had no effect on the image size). I can't get to the 'Picture', 'Ymax', or other categories.

Buttons I've got include TV/Vid (definitely not it), Sleep, Exit, Mute, Aspect, Favorite, Recall, Menu, Return, and the round wheel VD/CU/VU/CD with 'OK' in the middle. Down under the numeric buttons Ive got an 'R-Tune' and a 'Prog'. 'Prog' shows a minus sign in the button. Down at the bottom, there's DVD/VCR CU and CD, plus an 'Open/Close'. I tried a bunch of 'em, but not every last one. Gave up and came here to ask for help.

And finally, I don't understand the 'Exit' instructions, 'use the DOWN button to select the ID mode...". What is 'IIC mode' versus 'ID' mode? (Since my CD button only changes the channel, I can't see what this means by doing it.)

Does the serivce manual for the 50U displays provide the information required to do an RGB alignment with color facts and and good spectomoeter for the 60U plasmas?

Has anybody aligned the 60Us- RGB contrast and birightness to bring it closer to 6500 between 10 and 100 IRE?

Usually Panasonic uses the same codes for all types of TVs. Sorry, I don't know any other code.

The code for Sayno doesn't work with the new LCD sets. The set doesn't power on when you plug it in w/o pushing the Pwr. button first.

I have checked out the codes to get into the SM, but unable to find where panel hours (not MR) and several other things mentioned on this board.

Can see INFORMATION, FUNCTION CHECK, COMMON ADJ, OPTION, INITIALIZE, but can not move to other pages by press the "DOWN" key (only INFORMATION level allows me to page DOWN, others just info on main page).

I saw that you had the instructions for LG TV's to get into the service menu:

-Press AND HOLD the Menu button ON THE REMOTE
(The menu on the screen will disappear)
-Now Press AND HOLD the Menu button ON THE PANEL
-Keep both buttons pressed for 5-10 seconds
-When service menu appears stop pressing the 2 buttons
-Change page on SM using the yellow (swap) button on the remote.

Well I have the LG 17LX1R and there is no button on the remote that is yellow or says "swap". Just wondering how to switch pages once I am in the service menu. I can get into the service menu, I just cant figure out how to switch pages because there is no "swap" button on the remote.

With the Insignia TV's, there are extra buttons hidden underneath a sticker on the remote. Peel back the shiny plastic on the bottom of the remote (where the Insignia logo is). Its approx. a 1" x 2" piece of plastic. Underneath are 12 extra buttons.

I have the 30" version that was sold at Best Buy on Black Friday.

New to the board, but impressed so far.

I just purchased a small (24") flat CRT SDTV for video gaming only, and have run into some serious geometry and overscan issues.

It's an Insignia NS-24FTV and I got it new for a song and am otherwise very happy.

Here's the problem: I scanned the forums, and found a post re: Insignia Service menu access, but... So far, all I am able to access are the following;

Calendar, some Othello type game, Channel Browse, and a V-Chip control menu that I can't modify.

Is there something I'm missing? Please send me any info you might have via Personal Message, or a direct post to this forum. Either method will result in my getting an e-mail.

Just purchased a new Samsung SyncMaster 215TW 21" LCD monitor. It works great with everything else except when I hook up my HDTV tuner via DVI or VGA inputs. The picture is still squished (l to r), even after I adjust the "Coarse" setting in the "Image Lock" section of the user menu to the maximum.

I'm sure this problem could be fixed in the service menu, but I can't access it. Would anyone know the code, or sequence to get into the service menu, so that I don't have to lug the monitor all the way back to Best Buy for an exchange? Thanks in advance.

I got into the service menu - anyone know why the power button on my TV turns the TV off but not on? All the Buttons on the TV were locked out in the service menu when i bought it - Floor display - but was locked by samsung. I played a bit in the service menu with it and was able to unlock all of them (source, menu, chan +/- and VOl +/-), but for some reason the TV power button don't turn the TV back on when I press power. Did i miss a setting? Anyone that can help? Samsung ln-r238w.

Ive searched the net, Ive called LG support, and I even looked in this thread, but cant access the service menu in my LG Flatron RU-30FZ13 Widescreen HDTV.

Holding the 2 menu buttons does nothing, and the other metiod of inputing 9876 after the menu dissappears doesnt work either(just changes the channels).

Ive tried each method multiple times with no luck... I need to get into that menu to fix the overscan problem Im having when my Xbox360 is hooked up..

Here is how to access the service menu for the Vizio P50 HDM, I can not take credit for this since I got it from a fellow board member.

On the remote hold "Exit" for 3 seconds.
Release "Exit" and press "1, 2, 3" one after the other.

This will bring up the service menu.

To exit the menu press "Exit".

I have this set and don't have any issues adjusting the DVI input for my sony ns75h dvd player. I dont have the set in front of me, but there are preset modes (i.e bright mode, user mode, etc). maybe you are trying to adjust a locked preset mode? i have my user setting setup perfectly for dvd viewing (used the AVIA HT dvd)

When using DVI in user mode, the options available to adjust are only brightness and contrast, but I also have have color, tint, and sharpness using any other analog connection.

I would request JVC AV-27F802 service stuff...

This TV has a bug that if it shuts off and then back on quickly it flashes red and need a service manual reset. This is the second time it happened and the first time it cost me 175 but they would not tell me which service manual option is the reset.

I haven't gotten to this yet. I plan to do basic calibration with SpyderTV later next week. When I find time for advanced grayscale calibration, I'll be looking into this. I hope to make an update by end of next week.

I've seen a few people post about this model, so I hope I'm not being a pain. But I looked in your Insignia codes section and neither of the two work. The magic "57" button doesn't exist in my remote. Plus the other code doesn't seem to work. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. I tried getting the code from Insignia and they told me they don't have them. The overscan is horrible on this TV and I hope it's fixable. Could you at least let me know if this is an unknown code or if I'm just missing it somewhere in here. Thanks!

Caution: Use due care in handling the information described here.
If the settings are tampered in this mode, unrecoverable system damage may result.

Start by unplugging your Aquos from power, then follow the instructions step by step.

(1) While holding down the "VOL (–)" and "INPUT" keys at a time, plug in the AC cord of the main unit to turn on the
power. The letter “ <K> ” appears on the screen.
(2) Next, hold down the "VOL (–)" and "CH (V)" keys at the same time.
(The VOL " (–)" and "CH (V)" keys should be pressed and held until the version display appears.)
Multiple lines of blue characters appearing on the display indicate that the unit is now in the service mode. Read the
CPU versions shown on the screen, and take a note of the version numbers on a piece of paper.
(3), Unplug the AC cord from the outlet to Exit the service mode (forced shutdown).

I just tried it. It works, but I have no freakin' clue what most of those settings do, so I just left everything alone. I can deal with a little overscan, I guess.

Thanks. This was just the info I was looking for! Any tips for navigating within the service menu? Or is it self explanatory? Also do you have to do anything to SAVE the settings before exiting? Thanks again.

BruZZi, to exit the service menu on the Prima HT2778P with the Menu8888 code, you just push Menu to exit a sub service menu, and when your at the main service menu, pushing menu again will exit and save.. all settings are done live, and quickly..

Please, does anybody know service codes or where to find a service manual or diagrams for te DP9200?
