Can somebody please p/m me the method to accessing the service menu for a Philips LCD? The Magnavox codes in Bruzzi's thread didn't work, so I'm wondering if the method is different on the Philips. Thanks in advance.

Service Code ENTER: 062596 "INFO". Whatever you do DO NOT ADJUST anything on the "OPTION NUMBERS" menu, GROUP 1 OR GROUP 2.

JAMTUFF, can you tell me more about the above menus???
BTW: I already updated the Service Menu Access page with that and many other codes. :)

the menu is self explanatory, make sure you note the original values first before adjusting anything. Just dont adjust "option numbers" menu, it will wipe-out the menu and picture (black screen) so you wont know what you are adjusting. OR it will severely distort the image on the screen, though it is reversible. Any other adjustment are OK to mess with like the "alignment" adjusts the RGB drive and saturation.

Can anyone explain to me what the "dealer options" are? Specifically "Picture Mute" and "Virgin Mode" ?
Also, what about the scanning backlight and dimming backlight options?

This code hasn't worked for me on the Philips 32PFL3403D model. I don't necessarily need to get into the service menu, but I need to disable the buttons on the TV itself so that only the remote can be used. Can anyone help?

I was wondering that too, I got into the menu to check everything out and was curious about that
