My 42HP95 is still going strong. Got it back in the Summer of '06. :)

In response to my loss and auto reacquisition of TVGOS every few days, I decided to downgrade my Seine module firmware from v1.35 to v1.31 and see if it makes any difference.

Just a thought... has anyone with the blinking red light of death try a firmware install to bring it back?
From my experience with computer controlled equipment, it's worth a try since sometimes software can get corrupted, even in non-Windows OS devices!

I fixed my set last night. It had the no power/flashing red light problem. I need help from some of the rest of you who are having the same no power/flashing light issue. I want to post a solution and tutorial, but I want to make sure this is a common enough problem first.

I need at least one or two people who are willing to work on their own set, but this won't require any technical knowledge. I'll take pictures and guide you through the process. I just need to know if it works for someone else.

Wow. Never knew toshiba made plasmas LOL.
If the TV will not turn on might be time to buy a new one.. Too expensive and headache to fix.

There are instructions in the regular (nonservice) manual about how to reset the TV.

Has anyone else noticed with this set that gray areas all have a greenish overcast? It's probably been like this since Day 1. I have tried calibrating it with several different calibration discs, but the problem remains.

If you managed to get rid of this, what settings did the trick?
