View Full Version : Anybody got Sanyo free bulb yet?

Bought my Z4 @ Home Entertainment Expo, a division of Adtech, in Wayland, MA. on January 11. The salesman there has put my name in with Sanyo, but so far no certificate. He assures me that since they're an authorised dealer and I purchased within the specified time, there won't be any problem with the free bulb, but, "Sometimes they send out all the coupons at the end of the offer period, and sometimes in batches." Suposedly, he has three or four other names besides mine on the list. I'd like to know if anyone has received their certificate and/or bulb yet and how long it took. Thanks.

and im waiting to see if its for real. I suspect Im going to have to call and complain. What is a reasonable time frame to expect my bulb back??????

I purchased a Z4 last week, it included a mail-in certificate from the e-tailer. So you didn't get the certificate when purchasing, and they put you "on the list" to receive? Odd....

Here are the free bulb offer details, you sure they're participating? If I'm interpreting the details correctly, they must be on the list below.

Like many other companies, Sanyo says to allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. Thanks for the link JasonCon - did you find a link to check the status of your rebate online?

BH Video specifically mentions the free bulb offer at their website. They don't seem to have the best price, but they are a first class dealer in every other respect.

The more I read, the more I think this might be the projector for me. I thought I was a true blue DLP fan, but it sounds like the iris trick really improved the contrast of LCD projectors.

I'm curious how many people did and did not receive their free bulb. I purchased my projector in Feb 2006. I sent in all the rebate stuff, but no bulb has ever arrived.

Since I started this, I should add that I finally received mine, but I had to call Sanyo, who referred me to the "fulfillment company" handling the rebate. They told me that the paper work was incomplete. Fortunately, I had kept copies of everything and had sent it return receipt, with a receipt proving that they had received it. I finally got the bulb, but it took months. Glad I got it, as my original bulb just died with only 481 hours on it. Hopefully, the free bulb will go longer.

Received my bulb and screen (anyone want to buy a screen) about five weeks after receiving my Z4. Geez, hope my bulb goes for more than 481 hours!

Who did you talk to at Sanyo (what number did you call?) to get referred to the "fulfillment company?" I've been waiting since the first week of August for mine to come... a bit more than 6-8 weeks. Now I'm thinking it's time to get proactive. Thanks!

She will take your information and get in touch with the fulfillment company for you. I just spoke with her and she is working to get me my bulb and screen right now. Good luck!

... and for anyone else who may be reading this, it took about two weeks after I called the company for my stuff to come... pretty quick.
